It is the Greek word for "war". I was considering getting "hoc est bellum", which is Latin for "this is war", but decided to go ahead and get it in Greek instead, since I plan on sticking with the Ancient Greek theme on the right side of my body for future tattoos. I already have it all planned out what I'm going to be getting, but it's going to be a 5 year project and I don't want to tell anyone what it is all going to be until I get it done. Stay tuned for that
"War" means a lot to me, and always has. Not so much any current wars, or even the act of countries fighting in general, but more about the war inside, personal struggles, mental battles, overcoming them, etc. It's so much more to me than just trying to be "cool" or have a badass or tryhard word on my chest.

You got it on your pecs gjdm
"In my training camp, me working with you, get your weight down and you're not fighting for money.
God knows this in your heart. You ain't gotta answer the man. See, man judges man's actions.
God judges man's heart. You go in the ring for God, now you got the whole world shook up."

rubbish as in the idea itself is dumb, or it was a ****ty job on the artist's part? I'll probably get it touched up at some point because it could have been done slightly better from an artistic standpoint. Regardless I like it enough as it is.

Tattoos with a meaning to you are the best kinds of tattoos.

Agreed. Tattoos with meaning are amazing. Tattoos which are purely art can also be pretty cool. But word/quote tattoos with no deeper meaning, simply to look cool or "badass" are usually dumb, and not artistic.
My right pec and future right sleeve are going to be based on the war/struggle theme (mostly ancient greek style) and my left side will be based on overcoming the battle inside, rising above, out of the darkness/into the light, etc. Not entirely sure about what theme I'm going to go with for the left side yet.
Like I said, at least a 5 year project. Gonna cost thousands.Nationally Qualified NPC Men's Physique bodybuilder

Definitely interested in seeing this and possibly getting in contact with this guy. If the artist who did his is good enough I would honestly consider flying out to wherever he is to have him do mine in the future.
Explained in the OP. There's been a war/struggle/nameless disease inside since the the day I was born and I'll fight for my life, turn my darkness to light, and conquer this war over me.Nationally Qualified NPC Men's Physique bodybuilder

Thanks.
At the end of the day it doesn't mean **** though. A good physique doesn't solve anything.
All it does is get me shallow compliments from strangers and constant annoying questions. If I didn't live in hawaii I'd probably start wearing baggy long sleeve clothes just so that people would leave me alone.
At this point I'm only doing it for me.Nationally Qualified NPC Men's Physique bodybuilder
