Deficit pulls i.e. deficit SLDL or your regular stance from a deficit.

If you have mats available or something similar you can set it up like this.

Maybe 2-3" to start off. Play around with it and see what works for you.

One thing that I have found that has been helping me off the floor is to make sure you pull the slack out of the bar before pulling. You hear this a lot but still many people do not do this and do the whole grip and rip thing. And making sure you get a powerful start by doing so makes the whole lift easier.
    Gym best lifts
    Squat - 370 lb x 1 rep Strict OHP - 150 lb x 4 rep
    Bench Press - 270 lb x 1 rep Deadlift - 340 lb x 3 rep

I pull deficit sumo using mats, then laying weights in the middle of the mats where the two meet. I'm too cheap to just buy longer mats. There are much better ways but that's how I do it. I agree with Anthony, start with 2" and go from there. Just don't turn the deficit deadlift into some weird deficit squat from setting up too much of a deficit.
