when on a training program consisting of weight training 4 days a week and cardio 3 days, what amounts of protein, carbs, and fats should be taken in by a diet. i read somewhere that a high protein, moderate carb, and letting fat fall into place diet is best. if so, then how many grams are defined as high protein, moderate carbs, and fat? or is there a better alternative? this is somewhat of a follow up to my previous post. any help will be appreciated.
the number in gram depends on your bodyweight. i think many people do a 40/40/20 split i.e. 40%carbs and prots, 20%fats. i would say increase carbs a little for cardio, increase protein for weight trainging a little but thats just me. good protein in gram is atleast your bodyweight in lbs (i think)
I think it varies by person...I was doing 40c/40p/20f for awhile and was getting results, but I thought I could get better results....I changed slightly to a 40p/35c/25f and my results have been better the last two weeks...It may also be that you need to change every now and then to catch your body of guard...so it won't get into that "comfort zone".
