is dumbbell bench for volume post working sets a fine idea if you're stalling about 2-3 inches off the chest?

TY Izzy. My Skwat is 2 borderline 4 my liking. inb4 bombs away at first IPF affiliate meet lol.
I'll tell biby to gtfo with his hands next time lol.
So thats 2 yes from you and psycho and 2 no from arian and dtaps. Definitely gonna sink my squat deeper next week (last heavy session before the meet) so I'm feeling less nervous about the depth.
I like dumbbell benching, especially on a low incline, I find that it makes my chest more sore than anything else which is a good indicator to me that the pecs are being worked sufficiently in a different manner than normal, and pecs are hugely important for benching.
They also do a good job for adding mass, also critical for big benching. And I find when I am doing dumbbells consistently that I do a better job of lowering the bar under control, and don't find it really gets out of the groove as much as when I am not DB benching. I'm also very bad with the DBs so that might be why they are good for my bench.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Back after a long term layoff.
Anybody know any powerlifters that use Elite Form? http://www.eliteform.com/
I know a lot of strength and conditioning programs use it, but would love to see what strength athletes can do with itGet Big or Die Training - Only the Strong Survive

Most of the biggest lifts have already been named, so I'll try to name a few that aren't mentioned as frequently. My mind goes to 181's first...
Brunazzi pulling 794 @ 179, single ply, conventional.
Mike Bridge's 529 raw bench in a full meet at 181.
637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.

My DB bench has remained about the same (120s for 8 or so) since I trained for "bodybuilding" and had a 315 bench vs now where I bench 380 and almost never touch DBs for presses
I agree that you should just practice more with the barbellAwesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Vadim Kahuta just broke his own record at 220 with room to spare in his weightclass. 600@220 looks like it may be going down soon. Funny thing is, he had an insane muscle cramp on this lift (as you can see afterward), but still called for 270 kgs on his next attempt and nearly locked it out.

Never ran a program before I'm done with week 2 of the coan dead program. I put a pretty damn unrealistic goal but survived the first 2 weeks with no belt for the heavy ****. Week 4 will be the ultimate test for sure. I should be fine next week if I just wear the damn belt. That feel when speed sets are grinders

I hate deloading for meets. Eating the same amount of food or more while doing pretty much nothing. I feel fat. I feel like my muscles are shrinking. I'm ready to crush some weights but gotta wait til Sunday.
