550x5 paused reps on bench. Is it ironic that I even get my videos of American PLers from Russian sites?

I know some of you follow Josh Morris and his group of friends/lifters, if you don't you really should. Those guys kill me. Stupid strong and totally unfiltered. Hilarious. I need to have a beer or 20 with those guys....

Looks like Eric Lilliebridge is going to be competing in Russia on Dec 3-6th at the WRPF Worlds. Really rooting for him to put up a great total and perform better on this international stage than he did at his previous Australia meets.
Training cycle looks to be off to a good start...881x5 squat and 805x2x2 deadlifts. Such a well rounded lifter.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Honestly most of the time we just record their numbers regardless of whether their ass comes up or they bounce the bar. It can take a while to adjust someones form, mostly because you are also trying to help most of the team at the same time. It can get suprisingly difficult to enforce, especially when you've got a huge group of guys fighting for positions and wanting to put as much weight on the bar as possible. Most of that happens in the off season. It's hard to say whether it makes them better at football, but it definitely goes a long way in preventing injury for a lot of them, whether it be through preventing over-compensation or ligamentous/muscular damage.
For many, ego lifting just makes them feel like they can load on more weight...and its down hill from there. And to be fair -- the majority of starting players have good form. More with the seniors, mainly because they understand how ****ty being injured is and/or they have developed chronic issues.B. Kinesiology

Whenever my gf is benching the bar is absolutely all over the place both at the top and during the lift..it sways forward and back and side to side. She keeps asking me how to fix this/stop from doing it but I've never experienced it and have no ****ing clue. Anyone got any ideas? This happens at all weights btw (including just the bar), not just heavy ones

She's just doing the same stuff that I am for now (pulldowns and flyes are big no gos for me) which atm are:
squats (high bar)
DLs - she does conventional with a very wide stance Brian Shaw style, trying to teach her sumo as her conv ROM is absurd due to a very long torso but to no avail lol
bench, close grip bench, pushdowns with rope and metal V thingy, dips (she uses the assist machine)
barbell rows, cable rows, machine rows, db curls, lateral raises + calf training
she's got a real hatred of calf training and anything involving dumbbells but other than that it's been pretty enjoyable for both of us so far

Anyone remember Mike Wolfe from back in the heyday of multiply benching? Last I heard, he'd completely stopped lifting, but looks like he's making a raw comeback.
In the last few months:
700 raw off a 0.5 board.
639 Raw in competition.

600/370/600 - best competition lifts.
575/330/560 - best competition lifts at 181 raw.
