Jimmies remain unrustled since one of the few things I can't do is watch videos of powerlifters speaking. So boring. I think I can honestly say I've never watched a singing vlog-type video done by anyone.

Didn't expect much because Blaha, but even then that video was still more dumb than I thought it would be. His job is to get views though so that's one way to do it.
Anyone watch the GRID league before? Watching it now and I'm pretty sure this guy was wearing knee wraps to do burpees and transition that into stepping over a box with dumbbells in each hand.Meet bests: 450/305/545

I knew I wouldn't make it all the way through, but I watched anyways. I stopped at 2:40. LOL at the IPF not caring about its lifters. Name a fed that really cares about its lifters like Blaba would like them to. That's why you sign a waiver saying the fed isn't responsible for your injury or even death if something happens.
Maybe he got into this, but the real reason people or Blaba should have beef with the IPF is the rule where you cannot do any international events outside of the USAPL/IPF if you want to compete in the IPF. Take Jesse Norris for example. If he does Bosses he can't do the Arnold or IPF worlds where he would clean house. I'm assuming he still couldn't do those meets even if he were tested and passed, which he could do at Bosses.1708 total @220 Raw

Don't like him...Sharing post from g784 of youtube regarding what he said in his video
:
1. The injury rate in the IPF is incredibly low compared to most sports and even other federations, I don't see this as an issue. Having minimal racks and straps on stage is better for spectators.
2. Strict judging does more for lifting safety than any safety equipment. Monolift + low standard judging encourages people to attempt more weights than they should. You always see this in mono feds when guys look like they are having a seizure as soon as they unrack the weight. IPF world record holders look in control throughout the lift.
3. Why even compete if you don't like high standards and elitism? Otherwise, you might as well just meet at the gym with your buddies and lift to whatever standards you want, which is completely fine, but as soon as you are considering it a sport you should want it to be taken seriously. Even if I was an untested lifter I would be campaigning for a fed to imitate the IPF in every way except no drug testing.
4. Supporting the IPF is disgusting? You are just being ridiculous now. Look at the IPA meet with Eric Lillebridge last weekend. That is disgusting and a true mockery of the sport and exactly why a legitimate fed like the IPF is needed.Best Meet (Nov 2016)

Deadlifted without pain or pinching at lockout for the first time in 8 months.
So I guess I've got that going for me, which is nice.

I'm almost certain its a pinched nerve somewhere. Kind of radiates into the top of the glutes and switches sides at random. Not really debilitating just enough to make you hesitant about everything. I doubled 265 today squatting without any pain so I can't see it being a blown disc. But who fukin knows, backs are super finicky and complicated.

I feel you on that one.
Something like that happened to me when I was trying to conciliate Gymnastic/powerlifting when having an abs tear on/off for a year. Back took a huge load during that that time. In July 2014 I started to have a numb toes and it got worse in sept when I stopped everything. Got back with a different training approach which worked well in the past 6 months. Numbness is gone.
I didn't do an IRM yet but Doctors/Chiro/Physios all said it wasn't an Hernia but you can't be sure until you do one. They still said something is pinching the L5-S1 nerve.Best Meet (Nov 2016)

07-15-2015, 07:03 PM #5511It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

Yeah I'm feeling relatively good right now and those are my symptoms just a bit worse...at times it's more than just down the legs, and I remember your unracking pain from a couple of pages back, I have that too more than the actual squatting part
proper diaphragm breathing helps me immensly though...and I haven't had to shoot up voltaren in quite some time so it's good

This seems like it might be old? The rules change all the time.
As a general rule I favor the lifter, but just stating what the verbiage in the rulebook is.
^^ I was taught the same. Again just control-f in the rulebook only results in that being brought up in the section on deadlift for both IPF and USAPL rulebooks.Picking things up and putting them down since '09

So I just learned that if I wanna do IPF worlds, the way to do it is single ply. Chit is so much less competitive, at least in Canada. Basically show up for nationals in gear and you win.

After seeing a hard workout you may want to complain and want others to pity you for the work you have to do. Your mom will pity you. Your girl will pity you. I may pity you, but your competition will not pity you. They will step on you, walk over you and spit on you. Boris Sheiko

Always give the benefit of the doubt to the lifter! If you are in doubt if this was a good lift, give it to the lifter!
-Johan Smith
Chairman Technical Committee
"The lift must be completed without doubt of the referees" or somechit
And judge as harsh as you want. It's happening anyways and lifters end up getting screwed more often than they get gifts. Atleast this way you can easily justify it. Nobody will be quitting IPF over it anyways since its already implied.
That's my plan

It's literally impossible to bench without using your pecs. If you guys think your pecs "aren't firing", try benching after you've torn a pec a few times. Then you'll wish you could bench without your pecs.
