I've got 3-4 of my 10 45's that weigh less than 45lbs. Lowest is 43.7lbs, highest is 46.1lbs. CAP Barbell cheapo's from amazon (free shipping because amazon is dumb)
Best lifts in Compeition 560/350/650 and a 1560 total @ 290lbs
2017 Goals are a 1100+ Push/Pull total with 400+/700+ @242/275

Interesting. Well, at any rate, with Benni's lift we're only talking about the 2 uncalibrated plates (unless my research was wrong) on the entire bar, and even if they were ridiculously light, (lets say 15 lbs together), that's still put him at a 1,000 raw DL, which no one else has really come close to.

The main difference seems to be that the curve is less gradual and more substantial. I feel like this would make it pretty awkward for anything but squatting -- I mean, its obviously a squat bar, but the variety a the buffalo bar offers is nice.
And whatever the price of a texas squat bar is. 450-500ish give or takeB. Kinesiology

700 dollars for a buffalo bar is crazy.
I'd probably just buy a TPB, take it to a machine shop and have them bend it in the shape I want.

awesome man. i wanna get back in my shirt. actually i wanna do an equipped meet this year. need to find one.
on a different note. played around with my inzer fusion dl suit. this thing kicks the max dl's butt. max dl feels like a tight singlet. could barely get to the bar in the fusion with a lot of play in the straps. pulled 495 for like 4 singles and then another single at 525. ego was telling me to load up more, but the more experienced guys said just to shut it down. felt awesome though. will have vid up soon...
as you can tell, long as fak legs with short torso. always been a high hip puller so its extremely hard for me to force myself to get my hips lower to get more out of the suit. will take some time.Last edited by notforeveryone; 06-12-2015 at 09:41 PM.

I warmed up to 315x1 before putting the shirt on. No clue what my max is since I focus on overhead for strongman, but it felt like 95ish%. 405x2 wasn't bad...I wanted to either jump to 455 or drop it to a 1 board but my training partner shut it down. Said not to get too crazy my first time.
I'm thinking an equipped meet might be in the cards for me too. Lifting raw has been boring for a while and everything hurts. I want to see how one of dem dere fusion suits feel.

Speaking of DL suits, I just got my new velocity in. I got it pretty tight as I remember a post by Bill somewhere saying that the trick with the velocity was to get it tighter than all ****. So I just went off my old suit sizing that I was wearing 40 pounds ago when ordering
Holy christ, it fits like a custom and took me 30 minutes to get it over my hips, with suit slippers. Won't need to take these straps in for awhile that's for sure.

I know we generally don't post vids in here but my training has been going great so I'm gonna pimp one of my bench videos from tonight...
Tonight was the last heavy bench day before my meet next Saturday
This is the 4th set of 8 at 358lbs for singles with full commands:
This will be the first time peaking on bench without using either Sheiko or Smolov Jr for a meet, so I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that it all comes together on meet day. Also will be my first time competing since the end of 2013 and subsequently taking most of 2014 off training.
As of right now everything is feeling awesome, and the plan is probably to open around 330, take 360 as a 2nd attempt which would be a 5lb meet PR, then 380 for a third which would be a 5lb all-time PR. I'm feeling pretty good about these numbers right now, only question will be how my elbows will hold up on meet day since I won't be able to wear sleeves while benching obviously (I have bad elbow tendonitis in my left elbow so I always train in sleeves). Hoping benching naked during the meet won't adversely effect me too much....
On a side note the chick calling the commands is ridiculously strong. She's a SHW for women but benches 2 plates, pulls over 4 plates and has the APA drug-tested squat WR at over 500lbs IIRC (all lifts raw).
