For all you guys who wrap a lot, do you have different knee wraps for normal every day training sessions? Then go to stiffer/tighter/newer wraps for heavy stuff? I only have 2 pairs of wraps, slingshots and deathrows, and they both cut up my legs behind the knees pretty good.

Not a fan of the SBDs either, I like my Titan (not the yellowjacket) ones more. Probably because they are shaped a bit more for a knee and less like a tube.

I've had knee pain now and then but can't say I've felt like my SBDs contribute to it. I guess it depends on the type of knee pain, there's a lot of variations and the compression might not be good for all of them, especially in that bottom position.
However, I absolutely don't like squatting without sleeves on. I competed twice in a federation that didn't allow knee sleeves and it was horrible. There are obviously a lot of factors to pain/injuries but I didn't feel good after either of those times. I felt naked.202.5/135/245. Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=165241801.

on the subject of knee pain, i had some at the top of the knee cap but i fixed it quickly (literally in less than a week after i had dealt with it for weeks) after rolling out the trigger points as described in picture below.

I've never seen the reason for knee sleeves for me personally. Just wraps.
if your knee is hurting or need warmth try this technique, worked great for daniel san , if you remember miyagi uses it and he defeats the cobras at the end

You should start PMing all of these stupid questions to kaleida or whatever her names is. You two nerds can go on for hours about the difference between 11 and 13 degrees foot angle in a close stance, flat soled, high bar squat
The rest of us are just going to STFU and lift since we realize that nickle/dime bullchit doesn't make enough of a difference to make it worth considering

WTF @ Kade Webers 600lb front squat.
He has so much potential even at a ridiculously high level it's unreal. Not sure why his squat is where it is when he can front squat 600 though. His bench and deadlift are super damn strong, if his squat went up a bit he would be putting up some crazy(er) totals. I just wanna see him throw on wraps and total like 1000kg @ 242 or something.YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/user/NorthStrongSC

I have the ones that Bill has. I've used them once and didn't wrap them on super tight. They're fairly stretchy in my opinion so they're prolly not gonna cast up like some other wraps, but because they're stretchy you should be able to get quite a few revolutions with them. Bill's answer will be better cause he's used them quite a bit.

wraps are stupid
I'm probably just bitter because I made the mistake of getting titaniums which feel like tensor bandages, my SBDs honestly give me more carryover. next time, sig goldstraining log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=153696161&page=51

You didn't wrap correctly if that's the case. I wouldn't get Signature Golds. Titaniums aren't the greatest wrap, but if you wrap them tightly, they will certainly not feel like bandages... I actually get as much pounds of of Titaniums as any of my other wraps, I just don't like the feel so much and they aren't quite as durable.
I know a lot of USAPL/IPF crowd uses Sig Golds, so maybe they know something I don't, but I think they are literally one of the worst wraps on the market.Last edited by breathinglife; 09-10-2015 at 07:34 AM.

Yeah,, I imagine they'd be great as a wrist wrap.
I actually have almost completely different criteria for what makes a good knee wrap and a good wrist wrap.
-A knee wrap supports a moving joint and provide support/rebound throughout the ROM
-A wrist wrap should completely eliminate any bend from a joint that must remain static throughout the lift
So a knee wrap that might be terrible because it provides no rebound and little stretch might be great for a wrist wrap.
Obviously there are lifters that like a stiffer, heavier wrap for knee wraps, but I still thing even those wraps should provide some sort of rebound, just more resistance, which I think is the main con for the SGs--they stretch, but don't really stretch back like most wraps.637/390tng/615 - belt/wraps, best gym lifts.
