I have the red one like in the vid and the black magnum one also.
Like the OP, I love these tools.
For working thru slight shoulder injuries and also for getting your nervous system used to weight beyond your normal 1MR, these are great.
I use mine mainly for overload work after maxing and then doing work sets.

Good review. My experience with the Slingshot has been very positive, and I feel that it is GREAT tool for overloading and helping build 'future' bench strength. I'll typically do 2-3 'technique' sets with moderate weight for warm-up, followed by 3 heavy working sets staying in the 5 rep range, and then I strap on the Slingshot for an additional 2 sets @ 10-15% overload for as many reps possible. My barbell bench has always been a source of embarrassment when compared to my other lifts, but the Slingshot is starting to help close the gap!

Thanks for the review, I never knew the major benefit for the sling shot was to allow you to handle heavier weights. I've been looking at it in Power Magazine for a few years now.

I bought the Slingshot thinking it was going to be a gimmick item. I am very happy to say that I was wrong. I use it a fair bit and really enjoy its benefits.

Yes and no. You get that same "bounce" out of the bottom, but the slingshot also helps you keep your elbows tucked. I prefer the SS over bands up.Originally Posted by smackinoff
