    My own builds...

Something I just built. It's an extreme curl bar. Works particularly well with preacher curls. Enjoy guys and train hard.

    Embedded for you:

Looks good. It reminds me of the Watson Gym Power Curl Bar.
    http://watsongym.co.uk/product/power-curl-bar/

It also looks like an upside down Hercules forearm bar:

Interesting. I like neutral grip attachments. I assume the handles spread apart so you can start narrow and end with a wider grip.

    Yes,
I it's based on the same concept as Watsons but I changed the positioning as it worked more directly. Also I wanted to modernize it by redesigning the center shaft. As for the low row handles they are made to spread as you pull back. Has a nice feel to it. Thanks for embedding the images.
    All the best,

Here's just one more for now as I have to get back to work. It's a grip machine that mimics COC's. Starting weight can be zero and can go to 750lbs. Pad rotates left and right. Negative assist handles. Band attachments and plate storage. Enjoy gang and thanks for the positive replies.

I actually have a request to make one of these soon. Did you feel the rotating handles would be unecessary? Sort of a discussion point, and not sure it's worth the extra. Same question with the 10deg angle on the original.

    Hi,
A pleasure to meet you. Your work is superb!. No, the rotating handles are not really worth the extra cost. The unit that we had measured almost 15 degrees and we felt that straight handles would be optimal. Pm me if you need measurements or anything else.

Good to see you posting Joe! For anyone interested, Joe build the pin adaptor that I reviewed awhile back:

I've since purchased a second one from him. I can't tell you how useful these things are for those of us with weight stacks that are not heavy enough.

that handle is bad ass. Joe do you take orders?
I don't believe in deloading. Instead you should find someone at the gym, ask them to be your friend, once you are friends ask them to blind fold you, make sure not to look cheeky because otherwise they might get the wrong end of the stick. Then ask them to load the bar with a number between 2.5kg - 250kg, then blast out 4x10 reps. You gotta get past that mental block, deloads are a waste of time and you don't get any kudos from your new friend at the gym. Seeking: Hip Press

I just might. I am more interrested in the plastic/rubber donuts (if that's what they are) at the base of the loading pins. I've been using a hole cutter to make mine on the lathe, and it's messy to say the least. Haven't found a commercial alternative yet.

    Is that an 18" I-beam?

It seems that the corners could be a hazard as you are walking. Have you though of cutting off or rounding the corners?

Interesting. I like neutral grip attachments. I assume the handles spread apart so you can start narrow and end with a wider grip.
Looks like this could be a great piece - how long is it? My only concern would be if it's too long then it could really limit your range of motion.

    Hey,
    Thanks for the embedding info.
Theses are actually 22's. This way the plates fit on them. They were loaded with 110 kilos of extra weight and they weigh 180 lbs unloaded. Hasn't been any issues with banging against your legs but I do appreciate the feed back about rounding the corners.

    Hey,
It's 16.5 inches long. The handles revolve. You can pull back quite wide. Hope your training is going well.

Here is a dip unit that I built 22 years ago with plate holder storage and band attachments. This was when bands were just coming into the market and I was experimenting with them. They have come a long way.[img]***
