Might be the worst punishment of all time. Good God what a useless bundle of states. Once again, Atlanta excluded.

depends on your personality.
Savannah, GA is quite possibly my ideal city to live. Beautiful, laid back, relaxed, still plenty to do.
IMO, NYC, LA, Chicago, and other big cities = the worst places to live. Clustered, everyones in a rush, traffic everywhere, can't ever get peace and quiet.| ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄ ̄|

Midwest can be a drag but honestly it's as bad as you make it. I grew up in Portland, OR and moved to Ohio and my first year here I was just a giant baby... didn't go do anything, bitched about it all the time. I'm on year two and been more proactive about finding stuff to do and it's not bad, there are a lot of cool things here even if it's not as awesome as the west coast.

New Orleans is an excellent city...just have to know how to navigate it. Great culture and plenty of history. I have enjoyed living here.
Houston? Lol. It's the armpit of the south.
One post its excluded...then Houston is called out and now its 'I only live here for work'. This ******* can't be serious.

You can't beat the cost of living in some of these places, either. When you are young I'd say that's not as important, but when you want to buy a home, get married or raise a family you can get way more for your money in the Midwest or South.
When I lived in OR I paid nearly 200k for a house built in 1905, 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom. In Ohio I paid 130k for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home in a nice neighborhood that was built in the 90s. When my dogs pass away in a few years and I can actually invest in a nice home without them destroying things I can basically get a gorgeous 4-5 bedroom, 3-4 bath home for 200-250k. Mon-Friday it's not like I have time to do anything besides work and gym. Weekends I can drive an hour to any number of awesome parks. I miss having Mt. Hood 30 minutes away and the Columbia Gorge in my backyard but I don't miss watching my entire check go to paying a mortgage on a dump of a house, high gas prices, expensive food or the gnarly Portland traffic.
Basically my day-to-day quality of life is better here and I put away enough money to take a couple quality vacations a year which is more than I was able to do back in Portland.
But yeah when I was younger and didn't have dogs, a 9-5 etc I would have to say I enjoyed living in OR and AZ way more.** Eternal Jimmies Crew **
