Hello bruhs,
After about 7 weeks of dieting on low carbs(50 or less) and high fats(over a hundo) to moderately high protons.. I've just started eating some of those sweet, delicious carbohydrates again. I've noticed over the last week even while in my deficit that my weights slowly flucuating upwards. So I'm wondering how long the water retention will take until my body adjust to eating carbs normally again? Right now I'm gonna be taking in about 160 grams of protein, 130 carbs and 70ish fats. I still gotta get dat der Peanut Butter, nomsaiyans? lulz

IIRC, when trying to re-introduce carbs in your diet will make you gain "fat" if you do it too fast.
The water retention would probably be a week or so.
130 carbs is not high.
I eat more than you. Wtf. You are consuming so low calories. My Powerlifting "Road To Manlet" Log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=172129323

According to your original post, you're consuming between 1,790-1,880 calories. For someone with your lean body mass your basal metabolic rate is about 1,940 calories; that's how many calories your body would need if it were comatose. This doesn't include the thermic effect of eating, daily activity, or planned exercise. You're setting yourself up for a metabolic disorder, hormonal imbalance, and are likely losing unnecessary amounts of muscle mass. Calculate your total energy expenditure and subtract calories by 10% every week until you start losing 1 lb, every week. This is a far safer and more beneficiary method to weight loss.

This is absolutely ludicrous. First, eating below your BMR is completely irrelevant from a physiological standpoint - it's just used by many on this forum as an indicator of "too large" of a deficit. Second, there's absolutely no reason to think a metabolic disorder or hormonal imbalance will result from eating at a large deficit. There may be a little bit of metabolic ADAPTATION, probably a 10-15% slowdown at WORST, but this should recover completely with a 2-3 week diet break.
Now, rate of weight loss with respect to muscle mass is possibly a legitimate concern. I think with adequate protein and smart weight training, muscle mass should be pretty minimal even on a large deficit (1000 calories isn't even THAT ridiculous IMO). However, subjectivity can be removed here by monitoring progress in the gym. If the weights are going up, there really should be no concern.
Now I'm not saying everyone should do as large of a deficit as possible, but your post reads a bit misinformed. Have a look at this article for some more reading: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/fat...or-large.html/
