Bump. Just got back from the gym. Switched up my workout this week where I lift first and then do cardio instead of cardio first. I was able to DB chest press 55 1x10, 1x8 and 60 1x8, 1x6. First time ever I even attempted to lift over 50 srs

Todays workout:
DB chest pres 65 lbs: 5x5
Tricep extension 15 lbs: 4x10
Bicep Curl 30 lbs: 1x10, 42.5 lbs: 2x8, 50 lbs: 1x6
Incline press: 40 lbs: 4x8
Shoulder Shrugs 50 lbs: 4x8
About to go play basketball and run a few laps. Will eat a banana after I come back from basketball. On DB chest press on 4th and 5th set I failed at the 5th rep but I feel like I am getting stronger.Houston Sign Stealers

Worked out this morning:
DB chest press 65 lbs: attempted 5x5 but on set 4 I could only do 4 and set 5 I could only get to 3.
Preacher curls 20 lbs: 1x10, 2x8, 1x6
Lat pulldown machine: 1x10, 2x8, 1x6
Leg press 360 lbs: 4x10

I am going to start doing two workouts each day from now on, lift in the morning, cardio in the evening.
Morning workout:
DB Chest Press: 65 lbs: 2x8, 1x6, for my fourth set I tried to do 70s but could only do 2 reps.
Incline Press: 45 lbs: 1x10, 2x8, 1x6
Preacher Curls: 20 lbs: 1x10, 2x8, 1x6
DB Overhead Press: 40 lbs: 3x8
Tricep Pushdown Machine: 1x15 (70 lbs), 1x10 (90 lbs), 2x8 (110, 130 lbs), 1x6 (150 lbs)
Tricep Extension: 40 lbs: 4x8
Curls: 25 lbs: 1x10, 2x8, 1x6 (on the machine where you can adjust what type of handle you want to use, I don't know what it's called)
Evening workout:
Elliptical: 18 minutes
Bike 12 minutes

Squat: 205 lbs: 1x10, 225 lbs: 2x8, 245 lbs: 1x6
Leg Press: 360 lbs: 1x10, 410 lbs: 3x8
Lat Pulldown Machine: 85 lbs: 1x10, 100 lbs: 2x8, 120 lbs: 1x6 (couldn't come all the way down to my chest on 120 lbs set after 3rd rep)
One Arm DB Rows: 35 lbs: 1x8, 40 lbs: 1x8, 45 lbs: 1x8
Workout 2:
Elliptical: 18 minutes
Situps with 10 lb DB: 5x10

I am between 184 and 185. My current lifting routine and cardio seems to be working very well right now. I am getting stronger and able to lift higher weight and it seems like the fat is coming off. Haven't seen drastic change in fat loss yet but will post pics at about 175, srs.

Sounds like you need a new family fella, that is not true family.
I have been in the same boat as you and you are not alone.
I have been and currently wayyyy more overweight than you and I have been on my journey for 1 year now and lost aprox. 65lbs with aprox. 30lbs or so more to go.
Diet is #1 GYM is #2, this is for me and I firmly beleive it. You can miss days in the gym but for us guys who need to lose weight, we need to stay consistent as possible with our diet. I splurge, I don't kill myself on a "bro diet" and this is what has worked for me this time, as well as making the choice to make it happen.
There is no outside motivation really, if you don't have it deep inside then eventually you will fail. Don't do it for the womens, or your family ect...ect...
