Stopped at the hospital to pick up a copy of my lab results on the way home from work and then spent the next couple hours trying to figure out what they meant. LOL. Still not sure how the rheumatologist is going to interpret them so I'll have to wait and see if she calls me this coming week while I'm out of town.
Going to attempt to get up early and lift before going to Ohio tomorrow. I want to see how it feels and how long it takes. If I can manage it, I might try that as lifting after work isn't working for me lately.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

How's your aunt doing Sophie? Better I hope. Anytime Fitness is great, used to go there for a few years, good equipment.

She's looking the best I've seen her in a LONG time! She's more alert, staying awake, able to hold her head up, etc. Still smoking like a damn chimney, but I'm not going to change that obviously. I've tried for years.
This will be my first time in an Anytime Fitness. I might have to check out the one back home. Though 3 gym memberships is a bit much. We'll see. I'm thinking about it.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343

That's great to hear (except for the smoking of course!) I'm always amazed how many people I meet who have some serious medical issues and still smoke a lot like that. Hell I'm pretty healthy but if I started smoking that would mess me up in all kinds of ways.

Yeah, she's been smoking for probably over 50 years, so that's not going to change. I just wish she'd smoke less.
I currently have two gym memberships and my home gym. Some people think that's too much. I can't imagine what people would think if I had three gym memberships LOL.
Rheumatologist didn't call today My dad thinks she's only in the office a couple days a week so maybe she'll call tomorrow. Either way, not sure much more can be done since she started me on medication. Just wish the medication didn't take so long to kick in. Two months is a LONG time!
~~~~~~
I didn't make it to the gym today. It was $10 and for the little amount of lifting I was going to do, it wasn't worth it. I'll lift when I get home Wednesday. I'm also hoping to go to dance on Wednesday.
Starting to think I need to adjust my goals when it comes to lifting and jogging.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
Training is definitely going to have to be more low key for awhile. I doubt I'll be managing to get in 6 days a week for a long time, which was the plan to prep for both a powerlifting meet and the half marathon. This means I need to decide what to cut out. I've paid for the half marathon already (albeit it was cheap) but would hate to spend the money and then not train or complete it.
That leaves the lifting to cut out and mentally I'm not sure I want to do that. Lifting has always been what helped keep me sane. Not sure I "need" lifting for that anymore, but the thought of finding out the hard way is kind of intimidating. Lifting is also something I like and don't really want to stop.
Right now I am having trouble getting to the gym at all, let along lifting 3x a week and jogging/cardio 3x a week. Maybe once the Plaquenil kicks in, and I do a complete overhaul of my diet, things will be better.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
Glad to hear your Aunt is doing so well. I'm sure that is a bit of a weight off your shoulders
Sucks regarding having such limited time that you have to choose between running and lifting. Hopefully you can get in a little bit of lifting here or there to help stay saneWorkout Log / Chat thread...Embrace the Dragon: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169711903
I still worry about her. I hate not knowing when I'm going to get to see her again. It's time consuming, and expensive since I'm staying in a hotel now. Those four nights cost over $600. Definitely not something I can do often.
It's not the time I have for the powerlifting meet/half marathon, though they are only 40 days apart, it's the energy to train for both of them. I just don't see it happening with my current energy levels. I'm just sleeping so much. So exhausted all the time. Hoping the diet change will work quicker than the medication.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
Might take a break from logging. Not doing much, if anything, and posting as much has got to be boring to read. I'm planning on starting a new log here soon anyway. I was really looking forward to hitting some PR's on Jan. 1st before this extreme fatigue/exhaustion kicked in. Oh well.
Sorry everyone.Me vs. Me: Lifting with UCTD: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=170084343
