Hey I have a question and it's pretty basic. I just wanted to know other than food what is or had been the best supplement you have taken for gaining weight I know that I good food plan is the best, but I'm just asking about supplements. Fat gain or muscle gain either way.

Weight gain... Just a question

Even if you're already aware, your diet and nutrition plays the biggest part of weight gain without a doubt. No supplement will make you gain weight by itself, but can add calories to your daily total to put you into a caloric surplus. It's more of a convenience than anything else. You should be gaining all your weight from whole foods sources and making your own mass gainer shakes, which can be made out of - milk, peanut/almond/cookie butter, protein powder, bananas, blueberries, oats, olive oil, etc.
If you are absolutely adamant about purchasing a supplement to help you get your daily calories in, I would recommend iForce Nutrition Mass Gainz or Universal Nutrition Real Gains. Good luck man!Instagram - @mooddani

Whole Food
Gaining weight requires a calorie surplus, it does NOT require any supplements.
But since you asked, protein powder or a mass gainer can help, but only if your diet is in check!!!!
A mass gainer DOES NOT make you gain weight, they just help with extra calories and are convenient and easy to consume.

^^ This. OP if you need help consuming more calories, a mass gainer can help. I would personally opt to make my own and then add in different ingredients. You can add in things like a whey protein, fruits, veggies, oats, honey, yogurt, ice cream, peanut/almond butter, etc. That also lets you control the macros on the shake and lets you have some variety. When looking for a protein I would go with a brand like:
Scivation Whey
SAN Titanium Whey
PES Select
BPI Whey HD
Cellcuor
You could also look into eating more high calorie foods such as steaks, almond/peanut butter, avocados, olive oil, pastas, etc. An extra pb&j between meals is also something I would look into.Workout Journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=167450201

Great info and solid list!
I'll add True Girt Protein and Muscletech Platinum Whey as well, also great choices.
OP, I'd look into a protein powder and then mix with whole milk, peanut butter, oats, olive oil, and/or Ice-Cream. Super tasty home made "gainer" plus your getting way more micronutrients!

OP 95% of mass gains or weight loss come for nutrition/training alone. So make sure you have the proper nutrition and training in place first. IMO I would just make my own mass gainer
Here's some solid options
BB.com Protogen
PES Select
Scivation
Blue Star Whey
True GRIT
MT Phase8
XF Ultra Peptide 2.0
BPI Whey-HD
Homemade mass gainer
2 cups of Whole Milk
2 tbsp of Peanut Butter
1 large Banana
2 ounces of Heavy Cream
2 scoops of chocolate Whey Protein Powder
---------------------------------------
1 1/2 cups of coconut cream
1/2 cup of coconut oil
1/2 cup of honey
2 cups of oats
1 cup of almonds
Now if your just wanting to add a mass gainer here's some options
Nutrabolics MASSFUSION
BPI Bulk Muscle
iForce Mass Gainz
BSN True Mass
BB.com Platinum Series ULTIMATE MASSᕙ(͡‿ ͡)

I have tried it all. from the mass gainers to the proteins to the creatine and BCAAs. what I have found to be most helpful is honestly none of the above. hahaha the honest to god best way to gain weight to to keep you calorie intake at a high level. creatine did help but as soon as you stop taking it you lose most of it. it does make you stronger and it does help with athletic performance but unless you take it religiously it wont be that much help. keep your calories up and take a protein for recovery would be my best advice.

Like Mike said...keep it simple bro...
I know you asked for supplements that will help add weight...but the truth is, theres nothing that will add more than FOOD (and a lot of it). Only thing that can come close are Protein (to supplement your food) or possibly Creatine. Good luck!
