Lol. I am not making fun of you...however, funny thread. Tbh, take arginine caps. Get out of your car and do push ups and put your hands on the floor boards or what have you. On that note, the door will be open( covering you ) so your not looking like your doing push ups in a drive way or road. During that day, just workout an upper body part- take arginine and do the push ups...enjoy the 1hr pump. Now the problem might be if you wear to small of a shirt and your pump stretches it out...see then when your pump goes down, now you have a stretched out shirt....Jedi mind game pump- JMGP!
However, to get over this Jedi Mind Game Pump, you wear a beater underneath....however, if your chest is lagging, a cut off underneath the shirt. So as your dancing with the JMGP, you have an excuse to take off your now stretched shirt later on, and have a cutoff- which looks good if you have broad shoulders. Consider this cutoff as a universal part of your social pump activities. Of course it cannot be pink though, colors like white or black, if you tan.
No shave jaw line look- this is an important part of a male's distinguished look. You simply do not shave your stubble. If you do, just shave the neck...so it gives you a jaw line if you didn't have one. Don't wolverine it though. The important thing is to beat that JMGP- Jedi mind game pump. Now I know I was somewhat comical....however, if you do take arginine, do push ups as said...and have a cut off underneath, you will be good to go.

Heh. Wrong. The world works for people who have good looks. Don't have it, then you're going to need something else. Charisma or humour are next in line. Then comes muscles. For most women, as long as you are within a normal weight and have a solid base, you're 90% there.. anything after that is just a bonus.
Most of these muscles, I hate to say it, are for guys. Women in general don't like overly muscular men once they exceed a certain threshold. Read up on the many studies online from reputable sources.

Making fun of someone else's pride in sobriety is pretty low.
Not to mention the chances of him being an OIF/OEF vet for at LEAST one deployment due to his years of service is pretty much a given where a lot of us picked up similar problems.
I personally think it's awesome he's been clean for over 6 years now and it speaks a lot about his character.
Posting in that fashion, it speaks a lot about your character.Last edited by grouchyjarhead; 02-11-2015 at 01:22 PM.

How do you know I haven't been myself?
I could honestly care less about you.
It was a douchebag post made by someone who apparently loves stirring up drama to feel better about her subpar life.
I only took offense as I happen to have a lot of respect for him for being proud and sharing that. He's awesome in my book.
You on the other hand, not so much.

Too bad you didn't know more about me before you made those assumptions.
If you did, then you would know I hold a bachelor's degree in exercise science from the University of Pittsburgh, have worked as an intern at the Human Energy Research Laboratory at the same, I have my fair share of experience in strength competitions, and I don't prescribe to mindless bro science. You'd also know I'm married to a woman who was at one time one of the top 20 female powerlifters in the world for her weight class who now competes in kettlebell sport and is one of the few women actively competing with the 24kg/53 pound 'bell.
I don't dislike you for your "researched, scientific views about lifting".
I dislike you because you have a superior attitude despite your accomplishments being nothing to signify even worth having that attitude and that in my brief time here the only posts I have seen from you tend to be in the form of attacking someone over something or another. This isn't high school - it's time to grow up.

4 to be exact. 03, 04, 05 and 06 all with 3/1 Oorah! Got addicted to booze and pain pills after I got both my legs broken in Fallujah in 06. Wife found me passed out on the floor with my .45 ACP in my hand and a bottle of vodka...she was coming there to tell me she was pregnant with our son. Had I not passed out on a bender of vodka and pills...i'd be dead right now.
As a proud yinzer...Hail to Pitt!OG

I got into the Marines to get out of here (grew up all in and around the area, from Bellevue to Lawrenceville to South Hills) then ended up coming right back for college, tried leaving the state for one job, but came back for another better paying job so here I am still.

How to look big for a party.
Six feet one.
A buck seventy.
So less muscular than normal size manual workers/athletic guys.......
.......who don't even lift
And seriously, nobody became awesome in weeks, or even months......
Think in terms of getting progressively stronger for enough reps for big exercises over the next FEW YEARS if you want to be more awesome.
The best way to look big and muscular is to be big and muscular.
You'll need a real plan, like:
1. Fierce Five to start.
2. 5 3 1, with the Boring But Big template for size when beyond novice level.
3. Enough protein and calorie surplus to sustain the increasing strength for reps and muscular size(they tend to go together) without getting fat. After a few years your mother won't recognize you. Most everyone would doubt you have that kind of grit, given your question.
In the meantime, educate yourself, be a more interesting person to be around.Beginners:
FIERCE 5:

Beyond novice, 5 3 1 or see above:)
Unless it is obvious to anyone who isn't blind that you lift weights, you might still benefit from a little more attention to big basic barbell exercises for enough reps:).
