So when it comes to working certain areas, like the chest, front legs, back legs, etc. what makes one exercise better or superior when the other when it works the same muscle?

There is NO exercise that is better than another.
All exercises work your muscles in different ways. For example squats will not give you the same result as lunges.I have always wanted to become a tampon. My dream is to be inserted into a woman's chamber of love and absorb her lady juices.
