    Lifting while cutting..optimum fat loss?

    My TDEE is around 2,500 calories a day and I'm currently eating around 2,000. I haven't lifted in over 6 months and just getting back into it. My question is, will lifting end up making any difference to the amount of muscle I have now or will it just ensure that my weight loss will mostly be fat? I'm 5'10", 195lbs, and 24 years old, btw. I have always been muscular without really lifting, though unhealthy eating habits and drinking have made me gain 35 lbs over the last 4 years.

    you won't gain any muscle really - it will just allow you to maintain as much muscle as possible depending on how hard you lift.
    ON MY WAY!!!!!

    12/01/14 -> 236.7lbs
    03/02/15 -> 221.1lbs
    03/13/15 -> 217.3lbs
    06/05/15 -> 208.2lbs

    How becoming a father changed my view on fitness, wellness and life
