Introducing - THE MONTH OF UNLIMITED MACROS!
The Video
Still finalizing all of the final stuff. But I felt like I get most of point across in the video. After my 40+ lb cut, and with my cardiovascular ability being the best it's ever been, the idea finally came to me.. "What would happen if I went a whole month eating whatever..whenever?". For the most part, I already do this but also keep in mind that I ALWAYS have believed in getting necessary micro-nutrients as well. The idea of "self-experimentation" has always been appealing to me.. This will be my very first one. I'll be monitoring/posting videos and documenting..
(All video logs.. done weekly or daily)
- Food Porn/Food Challenges
- Mood Changes
- Training Videos
- Cycling Performance (increase or decrease)
- Weight Gain/Loss
- General stuff
Really excited to see where this brings me. A lot more I can say and WILL say on the basis of why I'm doing this little "experiment", but I'll finish up with that later. Time to go to work!
STAY TUNED!

Curious to see end result, doing blood work/physical before/after for comparison?
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

OP, I'll get much flak and derision for this but you should seriously consider stop posting on these forums and seek professional help. Your relationship with food is just horrible and really spiraling out of control and majority here are just feeding this monster of yours by encouraging you for their own amusement.

I think this is a bit extremist, but there is probably some truth in this. I alluded to this in another thread regarding Erik's 25k "challenge/binge" but I will say that a majority of these "day of eating" challenges on youtube are supporting a very unhealthy relationship with food in general. I do believe the more short term "meal" oriented challenges tend to be more about the sheer ability to take in lots of food and may be more of a physical test of sorts (and less prone to eating disorders).
With all that being said, we do have to understand that to grow a youtube channel and get viewers/subscribers one has to provide amusement for the masses. If you notice, the current fad is the "day of eating" vlogs where we are simply shown what people eat. For whatever reason this is really popular so I can't fault Erik for going towards promotions that are more food/meal oriented to grow his channel and get his name out. Either way, it's your life and best of luck Erik. Just be careful, with your history I hope you are always aware of any tendencies you have towards extremes in behaviors.

You seem to have this food challenge this under control so that's all fine, but you've got to understand that the way you talk about these challenges, your frequent posting on them and the way you present these posts (putting a lot of work in video editing and the layout of posts etc) kind of gives the impression (at least, it does to me, and given some of the posts above also to others apparently) that you are obsessed with food, which in turn might lead to some people worrying about your ''relationship with food''.
Get my point?*No sig crew*

Definitely agree. Generally speaking, people that have been diagnosed with eating disorders have obsessive compulsive tendencies, perfectionism, and tend to take things to extremes. Whether it be over-exertion, food intake, work, stress, etc.
Do you understand my point?
That is your impression. It may seem that way to the average person, on the outside looking in.. when in reality it's simply a hobby and something I enjoy doing. I spent a great deal of time (well, in my case WASTED a great deal of time) fearing something as minor and insignificant as the food that we as human beings consume in a daily basis, instead of seeing it as just another thing that is essential for us to live.
It's a common misconception (VERY COMMON) for ignorant and uneducated individuals to make statements and jump to conclusions about other people(s) lives and their overall "relationship with food" solely because of what they post on an online forum. (See a few posts above this one by "Rushie" for a picture perfect example)
Thanks for the 0.02$.

I understand all that, was just trying to give you a little insight in how you might come across to the ''average'' person, which might be useful for you in the future when addressing posts like the above ones, which, since we're on an online forum, I reckon won't be the first, nor the last.
With all good intentions brah.
And maybe you already realised that, in that case never mind me and carry on lol*No sig crew*

I guess I'm still not understanding the difference between this and well, "normal" eating patterns (not to suggest that eating according to macro/calorie restraints is abnormal)? Eating whatever one wants, whenever one wants it... isn't that how most people eat?
Also, why not just make a journal in the Nutrition Journals section as that's literally what that section is for.

Oh trust me, I've realized it. Heh.
Maybe you're unfamiliar with my past eating challenges and how much I eat on a daily basis. Like I mentioned in the video I posted about the actual challenge, it's mainly going to be a "Self experiment" in the context of someone who does food challenges and eats a good amount of calories on a regular basis. Which I'd like to think is... slightly entertaining to people?
I don't really see why it matters if I have a post in nut misc as opposed to the "Nutrition Journals" because this really isn't one.
Wouldn't say that, I weighed in today. lol

how does
(All video logs [aka vlogs... video journaling].. done weekly or daily)
- Food Porn/Food Challenges
- Mood Changes
- Training Videos
- Cycling Performance (increase or decrease)
- Weight Gain/Loss
- General stuff
not qualify as dear diary aka journal material?
how is documented self experimentation not journaling?
just calling it straight, broseph. seems a little AW-ish to put this in the misc. but i guess that's for the remaining regulars to parse out.

I'll just let you think what you will, I'm not going to banter back and forth with an individual who wants to be argumentative for no real purpose. If you don't want to participate or contribute to the thread, no one is forcing you to post ITT.
We're debating on where this thread should be located? Who cares?
