It's that time of the year again brahs, football is almost over and thoughts turn to spring and baseball.
Let this thread be for advice, discussion, criticisms, and general fantasy baseball discussion.

Alright, so i'll start the discussion too. In my roto keeper league, I can have 6 keepers. I already picked out 5 of them I need help deciding the last one.
Keepers:
Miguel Cabrera
Josh Donaldson
Andrew McCutchen
Yasiel Puig
Felix Hernandez
Other players:
Cory Kluber
David Price
Victor Martinez
Dee Gordon
David Oritz
Jonathon Lucroy
Who should it be?Twins/Vikings crew

It boils down to Kluber, Lucroy and Price. Price is too valuable to give up. Once ESPN gets their fantasy baseball updated, I'm going to look to do some trades. Whoever bites on Kluber or Price is the one I'll give up. Maybe even Felix if I get a really good offer. One worry about Kluber though is that the fairly decent jump in innings may come back to haunt him.
Can't believe this team I had lost by half a point on the final day lol. So much talent in my opinion.Twins/Vikings crew

In for a new season. Our league just got renewed today and the commissioner is asking if people want to up it to 8 keepers. That seems a bit much to me, but if it ends up going through then I'll definitely benefit off of it. I would probably be able to afford keeping tanaka (He would draft as a keeper in the 13th round) and then I would have one more slot to fill.
The original 6 I have picked are Trout, Tulo, Goldy, Adam Jones,Chris Davis, Corey Kluber. Then I would probably venture the 7th as Tanaka. For the last slot it would come down to
Ortiz (too old, he has to decrease productions sometime right)
Todd Frazier (don't think so)
Jayson werth (?)
If I REALLY need steals, there's always Ben Revere
P:
J. Zimmerman
Aroldis Chapman
Doug Fister
I also have a big list of picks for the draft already made up. I have my second and third round picks open, so I should do well.***SCC***

No, not necessarily, but what have you read? Including Zimmerman and tanaka I would have 8 with davis. I'm not sure who would be better than Davis as a keeper. I'll show you my lineup when I get home if you don't remember my lineup.

In Yahoo right now Price and Klub are almost in the same round 3/4 in 12. Both are #1 starters for their respected teams and are projected almost identical K/W/ERA. I dislike Price because he gets into jams and can give up the long ball just like Scherzer where they like to throw a fastball right down the middle to get the inning/batter over with. Klub will get into a Jam and if he gives anything up its because of the defense. Also going to note Yu Darvish can fall in the same round as those 2 and I'd definitely take him over Klub/Price. Dat dere K/9 HNNNNNNG and if fully healthy TOP 5

Darvish's groundball rate has been worrisome. He went from 46% to 41% to 36%. His ERA is going to spike if he starts giving up homeruns in bunches.
I see. I'm not sure how your draft works since you said Tanaka is a keeper but is a 13 round keeper. If you had the rounds next to the player, we could see if they are worth keeping in that round.
List what round you would keep Wood, hes legit.Last edited by drock2190; 01-31-2015 at 06:59 PM.

I can't see last year's draft now for whatever reason. I do remember that I have trout in round one, goldy round 4 I believe and jones round five (possibly switched), tulo 6. I'll check again to see if I can view the draft.
Edit:
Wood is good but he bounced back and forth between the bullpen and the starting position last season. Do you think he'll hold the starting position the whole year?Last edited by Father of Cajun; 01-31-2015 at 09:04 PM.

Anyone interested in a 14 or 15 team non-keeper misc league? Drafting next sunday if possible. I've got a few friends IRL who are down but I would need to fill out most of the rosters. If you have a similar league like this let me know and maybe I can fill a spot instead of starting a new league.
I like these deeper leagues, at least deeper than 10 or 12.USC - Arizona Cardinals - Arizona Diamondbacks - USA Soccer

My keeper deadline is today, and I think I'm going with
Trout
Adam Jones
Goldschmidt
Tulo
Todd Frazier
Kluber
Zimmerman
Chapman
I took Tanaka off the list because he's just too big of a gamble this season. I'll look to pick up Alex Wood under the radar, Doug Fister as well.
Edit: Also, **** me for dropping Anthony Rendon last year. Did he have 2B eligibility last year? I feel like I dropped him because I had Beltre at 3rd and I think my utility spots were filled by Jayson Werth and Charlie Blackmon (earlier in the season). Or something like that.
edit edit: maybe I'm thinking about nolan arenado.Last edited by Father of Cajun; 02-04-2015 at 06:23 AM.

Darvish is averaging 3rd round on yahoo, I don't think you'll get him unless you keep him or use an early pick. Fielder 5th round.
Tanaka maybe, I toyed with keeping him but he's a big gamble. Averaging 11th round on yahoo. I'm looking to pick up Davis as well, he's averaging 10-11.
Mauer has lost his C eligibility and I don't think he will be super relevant at 1B since he's never been good for much power/RBI production.
EDIT:
Look for big things from George Springer this season, averaging 5th to 6th round.Last edited by Father of Cajun; 02-04-2015 at 07:01 AM.

Need to keep 6. Two pitcher slots, two hitters slots. One is a flex spot of pitcher or hitter. And the last needs to be a player who was drafted after the 10th round which I have denoted eligibility with an asterisk (can also be pitcher or hitter).
Thoughts?

Prince Fielder
