saw this thread a few times but passed over it but got curious after seeing it hit 43 pages, went back and read all 43 pages....so much truth (and lolz) in this thread. Thought I'd contribute that we need more of this in the US

Thin privilege is asking to change yourself rather then asking society to change for you...
And for full disclosure the rest of the blog wasn't even so bad, at least this person left her "thin shaming" groups, whatever the fck that is. If someone has a good example of that I'd love to see it.First Break All The Rules

Thin Privilege is, not having to justify your poor health and fitness standards (and thus, the shape of your body), by crying "Oppression" (Lmfao) every time someone ignores you.
Since when can you equate your size (not intangible) to something like race or gender?
Thin Privilege is, not having to justify the way you look at every opportunity:
Thin Privilege is (possibly) looking like this whilst holding a pineapple (lol):

holy fuk
why would she even lie about something about this, what would she even have to gain by lying to her doctor?
talk about shifting blame to the bitter end
i think short of psychotherapy / cbt it will be impossible for someone like this to lose weight

you think thats bad I was watching a show yesterday called "Junk.Food.Kids.Whos.To.Blame" seriously worth the watch, (British broadcasting channel) but at the end of the first episode where the kid is getting her baby teeth extracted because of all of the crap that her mother feeds her, the mother was strait up lying to the doctor and when the show was interviewing the doctor, he was basically saying almost 90% of parents lie to him about how their children eat. Its like what do they have to lose by telling the truth, or are most people just delusional?
and to comment on the second part of your comment, fuuuuarrrrk I raged so hard when at the end it shows clips from the next episode, basically parents were saying that their kids are fat because the gov't and manufacturers by not giving people access to healthy foods...
to me thin privilege is having self control, and being mentally stronger than physically.Runner Crew (48.6 miles Dopey Challenge -- Completed)

That's actually a legitimate issue. I don't know if it discussed it in the show but access doesn't need to be transport or market location; it can be prohibitive costs. Unfortunately, feeding a group of people can be a lot cheaper on fast food or junk than fresh, healthy foods. In a number of developing regions it's cheaper to buy coca cola than water. Access can also be time; it's a lot faster to get drive through than make the kids a good meal, which matters for people working 2 or 3 jobs.

Plus people often don't realize how much they eat. "Secret Eaters" is a pretty good watch, just shows how often people forget about things they eat. That's why lots of diet plans often tell people to write down exactly what they eat in a day. To get rid of these calories they've forgotten about.
