These are people who fully detached from the military and have never served a day in their lives so they just dont understand what it entails.

I do find Maher entertaining at times but he is certainly wrong on this one from what little I saw. This soldier was called upon too often to do something incomprehensible to a television personality. Mr. Maher's lack of understanding is clear. But to label this guy in such a crude way, based on nothing more than watching a movie or reading a book makes his commentary worthless.


I don't think anyone would disagree that the guy did an enormously difficult job, that protected other American soldiers, but one that he probably paid a heavy toll for. Regardless of how anybody feels about snipers as a whole, to call him a psychopath for doing a job very few could do is a slap in the face. People don't have to call him a hero if they don't want to, but have a little respect for someone who answered the call.
