    protein powder suggestions

I'm looking for a protein for me and a different one for my boyfriend, I like 0carb low calories but I'm tired of vanilla and chocolate. But he needs to be making big gains so lots of calories and carbs but nothing obnoxious like 700 calories a serving. It's not that hard for him to put on size.

Why are you scared of carbohydrates and calories?

I'm not scared I'd just prefer to not have a lot in my powder. I'm trying to loose weight and I'd rather add calories and carbs to a shake with fruit or milk if I want to than not being able to take acess carbs out.

Being on a low carb diet will not necessarily make you lose weight, carbs are used for many things including protein synthesis = muscle growth
IF you have low enough carbs you won't have optimal function. The carbs in a protein shake are better than fructose= fruits.

Carbs are very important for female function since that is what females use as energy at a resting period but you guys burn fat for energy during workouts unlike males. We burn them most carbs at an active state, so carbs are VERY important for you.

For your boyfriend any protein powder is fine but you want a protein powder that has a protein matrix in it so it has different digestion times.
Also for you not many protein powders have 0 carbs but some do!

p.s: The only protein powders that have 700 calories are weight gain powders, NOT protein powders.

    My top 3 protein powders:

    On gold standard whey
    Musclepharm combat powder
    Cellucor
    Jym ProJym

    Some 0 carb proteins
    Iso pure
    VPX has one

Low carb protein powders are here!

    1. You don't "loose weight" you "lose weight
    2. If you're trying to LOSE weight, why are you taking in liquid calories (milk) when water would be the better option?
    3. If you "prefer not to have a lot on your powder", invest in an isolate.

    PES Select- Snickerdoodle flavour

Best protein of all time, top 5 most delicous things I've ever tasted (including all regular food, like icecream). You will get addicted to this, that's how good it is, ive went through 120 lbs of the stuff in 6 months and never plan on stopping

BTW 110 calories a serving, and isolates are inferior to blends, and aren't always lower calories , they usually cost much more as well. Oh and if you still want your protein shake to taste good and not like piss, blend it with unsweetened almond milk (35 calories a serving)
