amazed when I read that Gnomus Maximus, it just shows how little we really know about the people we share a common interest with
that must have been pretty scary , understand the delayed shock reaction and the worries of re occurance
impressed by your determination to get back at the lifting, throwing etc - many would have been put off and led a pretty sedantry lifestyle after that kind of experience
did then decide to visit your journal and read what you get up to in terms of training
long may you continue to do something you and your family obviously enjoy
and I shall continue reading your journal and consult Google in order some of the things you do that I am not familiar with, will make sense to me, when I read your account of them in there.☻/

Inspiring stuff man. Sounds like you found a great Dr. that actually cared and was able to understand that you were miserable not lifting. The fact that he signed off and said you were good to go in itself is a miracle. Most Doctors would not put their neck out like that.
I too had my own brush with death, I had a Mallory-Weiss tear while on blood thinners, long story, but I am lucky to be here as well. It definitely gives you perspective and a feel for a new lease on life. I am no longer on the blood thinners, as I don't need them anymore. Thank God for that. Keep on keeping on.
