My dream is to compete at WSM some day, so I'm disregarding aesthetics for now. I may go on a moderate cut soon because I'm having trouble gaining weight, though. To suggest that they couldn't alter their work to appear more pleasing, while also being anatomically correct despite not having visual evidence, is absurd. Besides, it isn't that difficult to dissect a corpse and craft a sculpted replica with bigger muscles. It shouldn't be shocking that an artist of all people would attempt to portray beauty even if it doesn't exist.

Weightlifting with barbells earned its origins with Olympic weightlifting which is all about power. Before that, in the Roman days, men lifted stones and makeshift weights with logs to prove their manhood.
