Tbh the current rep system does have two flaws:

1. Being red makes it hard for you to make a srs thread and get srs answers, at least sometimes

2. If a high-rep poster posts some bs, you're unlinkely to call out their bs cause they can make you red with a neg, which would bring you to problem #1

I think the biggest problem with the rep system is that the cap is too high, especially with mods. One can have enough reps to make most posters red with a single neg. Basically you can post decent posts and stay green for 5 years and one neg can make you go -500k points

They said a huge overhaul on the infrastructure is coming on the bodybuilding forum

Im red and i think the rep system should stay simply because its the only incentive anyone has to help other around here...

With the system removed, there will be even more crappy threads as nobody would be worried about being negged and having their precious rep points drop
