I have a hard time believing that she isn't doing this on behalf of the Clintons. I don't think it is going to change things as Trump won by 60K votes in PA. No matter the shady tactics they will employ to manufacture votes in a "recount", they aren't going to make 60K votes disappear.

Governor's have to actually get the job done, so it makes sense to have a republican in there...or at least a moderate democrat who's fiscally responsible and pro business. You can have liberal representation in the federal government because they don't have to really get anything done...they can chase pie in the sky concepts...and they can spend any amount of money they want without regards to a budget.

not that I expect it, but if the recount shows Hillary winning any state I do not look forward to the rioting...I mean "protesting" we all will endure

I am usually all for anything that keeps 3rd party politics in the news but this nothing but a publicity stunt. It certainly isn't about the outcome; Stein is no fan of Clinton’s, and even if she was, there’s no way that a recount flips all three states, which it would have to in order to matter.
Best case scenario, any resulting mess helps encourage the adoption of best practices for voting and vote auditing. Likely case, they find nothing, and angry Democrats just donated a good chunk of change to the Stein 2020 campaign.

I think she was behind it all along. Jill Stein is merely a proxy as it wouldn't look good for Clinton to concede and then demand a recount. Stein raised more money in a couple of days than she did for her entire campaign. How did that happen? This is mutually beneficial to both. Stein gets free publicity and can portray herself as a righteous guardian of the electoral process and Clinton gets to challenge the results. Everybody wins....except of course, the voter.

I don't quite understand any of this really. There are no real allegations of voter fraud or intimidation. There is no evidence of cyber activity that could have effected the outcomes in some way. That, according to government authorities. If I understand things correctly, the vote count in any of these three states is not of a close enough margin to warrant a recount. Can anybody raise a couple of million dollars and demand a recount, whenever, wherever?
One thing that there is; death threats and vicious e-mails directed at the members of the electoral college in any number of states across the nation.Last edited by paolo59; 11-26-2016 at 01:21 PM.
