this could probably go to the workout equipment section too, but whatever.
for primarily doing rotational discus, and glide shot put, what would be a good shoe ?

Asics brand shoes are what I personally love. I have tried nike as well, but didnt like the fit and feel. They usually run around 40 bucks online, and those work fine for almost every thrower I have seen. Didnt glide much in them as I threw for the put, so I dont know how they add up their.

Asics has a couple of models, one that's fairly expensive, and then a low price shoe which is pretty good especially if you have wider feet. My son uses the cheap Asics. The Nike are popular, a bit more money but still not bad. Adidas of course makes throws shoes as does Saucony. My son uses the Saucony javelin shoes which are great if you have run up areas that are grass as the shoe takes track spikes or replaceable football cleats (great for grass). Their shot put / discus shoe looks pretty good too. They all have somewhat different fits so try them on and pick the one that fits best.

Asics hypethrow 3 are intended for both gliding and spinning.
