You're a scumbag and I hope you lose.
However, you might win because we're the U.S., where people have fought and died to maintain your right to be a scumbag, even if you can't take a minute to stand-up and respect them for it.

I meant he saw you posting on the misc saying "OP is a *******," and firing you. Not calling him one. Either way it wasn't the point. You don't have freedom from consiquences of your actions of others.
In a right to work state, he could be fired if his boss found out he didn't stand during the pledge. It doesn't really matter.**Arkansas Razorbacks**

So, let's just look at a few things here:
1.) You went to a sporting event in the United States on private property.
2.) You didn't stand for that nation's anthem (I respect your right not to, just sayin).
3.) Your fellow citizens (that's key here) caused a ruckus which led to you getting kicked out by agents acting on behalf of the property owner.
4.) Now you plan to sue and have that case be decided by a jury comprised of your fellow citizens.
I would be amazed if it actually goes to trial and they found in your favor. In fact, if that happens, and Misc you can quote me on this, I will enjoy a nice juicy steak. You bring the pepper, I'll bring the Angus.

A lot of you people posting in this thread are ****ing retards.
I don't agree with OP's decision not to stand.
Just because I put on a ticket, "can be removed for any reason." doesn't mean I can kick you out because I don't like the color of your skin or because I don't like your religious or personal views.
Honestly, OP has a very solid chance, would not be surprised if they offer a small settlement.
But how was OP being a disturbance that had nothing to do with the national anthem?
CODE OF CONDUCT
Commodore fans are widely known for their enthusiasm, team support, hospitality and sportsmanship. Our image is shaped not only by our student-athletes, coaches, students and faculty, but by our fans as well. Our goal is to create a first-class environment to lend support to our team while maintaining a safe and fun atmosphere for visiting fans as well.
Prohibited Behavior
Rowdy, threatening, or inconsiderate behavior such as standing in the aisles, portals or concourses, profane and abusive language, smoking in public areas, fighting, and drunkenness will not be tolerated and can result in ejection, arrest, and/or loss of season ticket privileges. Throwing of any objects in the stands, including paper and plastic cups will also be prohibited. Should you observe any of this disruptive behavior, please notify your nearest law enforcement officer.
In all sports, access to the competition area shall be limited to participating student-athletes, coaches, officials, support personnel and properly-credentialed individuals at all times. For the safety of participants and spectators alike, at no time before, during or after a contest shall spectators be permitted to enter the competition area.
Enforcement
Individuals found violating any policies can be removed from the stadium. Non-students are subject to arrest and prosecution under applicable laws and state statutes.
Students involved in such activities or other disruptive behavior will also be subject to disciplinary action. Students enjoy the rights and privileges that accrue to membership in a university community and are subject to the responsibilities which accompany that membership.
The Vanderbilt Athletic Department reserves the right to remove the ticket holder from the premises if in the sole opinion of the security personnel his or her conduct endangers or disrupts the players, coaches, officials or fans.
Vanderbilt Athletics thanks you for your support.
It is. If OP made the decision to not stand based on his religious beliefs, he is entitled to that. Is OP required to stand during the national anthem according to the stadium rules? If not, OP did absolutely nothing wrong... He was literally sitting at the stadium, minding his own business. Do you honestly think the stadium will argue OP was the cause of this? It was drunk people around him.
Although I disagree with OP. He has a very solid chance imo.Last edited by Blacryan; 01-20-2015 at 03:55 PM.

Well first I highly doubt OP sat quietly when the other fans were getting rowdy. If he likely mouthed back, then his case is in deeper water.
Ignoring that, if an action he did disrupted the fans around him, no matter how small, the security staff has the right to take out the cause of the problem.
For me personally, I would support him being thrown our for any reason. He's on private property.**Arkansas Razorbacks**

He is on private property that he purchased a ticket for to allow him to be on that property. Did the stadium officials offer him a refund/compensation for his removal? He followed every single one of their guidelines/rules... What did he do to violate their code of conduct? I responded to your other post in my post prior to that.

Imma bet they removed you simply because its far easier to remove one person, whether you're causing, or simply apart of a disturbance, than it is to remove a whole section (or more than one)
Go ahead and cry about it..but i simply hope the people here that are for it are sued for something so easily avoidable..and a direct result of a sad inferiority complex

Look up Steve Bartman. He did not break any rules, but his action disturbed fans around him and he had to be escorted out.
It is not that OP did anything wrong according to his story, but his actions caused a disturbance to the fans around him. Security has the right to ask him to leave to end the situation before it got violent.

Lol. You cant be comparing the steve bartman incident(which I've known about since it happened...) to this. You're delusional to try to compare those two incidents. Vastly different.
It does matter if OP did something wrong.
If the people around him were breaking the stadiums code of conduct/rules, OP can argue he was minding his own business, not violating any rules and was removed without just compensation.
Security may have the right to make the decision based on whatever they feel necessary and from that, they get to deal with the consequences/results aka a lawsuit.Fantasy Football Team (1ppr) - http://i.imgur.com/o4i4xs3.png

While I think opie an unpatriotic doosh for not standing up and saluting his country, in my very uneducated opinion on this matter I believe he has the right to refrain from any such activity if he wants to without fear of being kicked out of a ball game. To me, they did violate his civil rights and I think he has got a shot at winning.
