Something's going on with my lumbar region again. Most intense pain is in the lower left, having radiating pain with something going on in the sciatic nerve. I'm taking a couple more days off from lifting and starting PTTP next week.

Thanks, guys. I hope a few days off will heal it up. If not, I'll set up an appointment with my doctor.
I walked the dreadmill today.
3 miles/321 kcals.
I also downloaded a fat man app to track calories more closely. I have 2478 expenditure to play with today. My goal is to hit a 500 kcal deficit every day.
No food yet, but there have been three cups of coffee."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1

Good luck Marius, if you have any questions about cal tracking apps let me know. I have been doing it for a year now. Everyone is different, but I will tell you like I told Dave. The thing that got me to actually follow and stay within my cals a day is to identify the times of day you are hungry and have a plan to deal with it. These are times that you do not have a meal planned for. Times between meals. I make myself some snacks for those times of days that keep me within my macros for the day and keep me on track.
As long as you can keep yourself satisfied between your planned meals you won't be starving when it is time to eat and you will actually feel satisfied by you planned meals. I eat 3 squares a day, and I have 2 snacks a day. On days I do cardio instead of lifting, I will eat chicken in the afternoon in between meals, I have found that it helps to kill the hunger better than drinking my protein shakes. It is a mental thing, drinking your protein vs eating it. However it works for me. On days I lift I will drink my protein because I am not as hungry.
There are tons of low cal options out there. I used to love mayonnaise, like I dipped french fries in the stuff. I now use only mustard and obviously fries are a thing of the past. Mustard is so low cal it is listed as 0 on the labels. I eat mustard on all types of stuff now. I used to hate it. It is funny what you can adapt to.

I eat a lot of mustard, too, Shane. I also mix my tuna with avocado instead of mayo now. I don't have a problem with snacking. I have a problem with lying to myself.
Hey, Gnome. MyFitnessPal is recommended by a lot of people. I went with Fat Secret because they have a BlackBerry app. As long as my company is issuing BlackBerries, I'll be using those apps, unfortunately."Blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle." - Psalm 144:1

Sorry to hear about the back pain Tom. Take it easy and hopefully it heals itself up.
If in doubt, squat and run hills. So you walk into the gym and don't know what to do? Then squat and run hills. Have a miserable day at work and want to break someone's neck but aren't sure who's? Then squat and run hills. - Wendler

I meant to type 'A heater would be a nice new addition to the home gym"
blackberry - that was the worst phone I ever had in all honesty
nothing wrong with the phone
but until that time, I had a fixed PC at the office and when I left work, I left work
when they issued Blackberry's e mails followed me out of the office and quality of life deteriorated as a result
but congrats on your new phone LOL?☻/

I somehow seemed to have missed this here journal of yours. Subbing and IN!
When life hands you lemons... ask for something higher in protein.
The weight is a hammer and the bench an anvil. That which happens between both forms and shapes us, showing our true mettle.
