EQ was the only mmorpg that I ever really got into and enjoyed playing just running around and fuking off. I never even had a toon over like mid 40's range. But after PoP expansion things went down hill and fast with all the ****gy time chit they started to add. Project 1999 seems like it's picked up alot and people are apparently loving it. And it's kinda weird but I still prefer those old gfx over the newer ones. I'm installing this chit right and gonna play my heart out. Any brahs wanna do this?

Never played EQ but I started with Everquest online adventures on ps2 and then moved to EQ2, had such a good time on those 2 games.
Remember being a freshman in high school when EQOA came out playing until 5am on school nights and having to pretend to be sleeping when my mom got up for work.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Browns

I played on it for a little while. Got to low 30s and then quit because it's just too damn grindy. I'm not 14 anymore.
Also, now that all the info is out there it's kind of lame. People care way too much about which class is Op, where as back in the day you would invite anyone to the group just to fill spots. The community is **** basically. It's not anything at all like it used to be back when the internet was still basically a brand new thing.Minimalist Crew

A bunch of us miscers used to play on this, we even had a guild at one time. I was there when it was just vanilla and was there the day they opened Kunark. Server is or was atleast very professionaly run, and they are basically very set in keeping it classic. Velious has been in the works for like 2 years now, seems like they stalled. I have a 52 mage on there still, Fluffernuts. Good times.

chit that'd be righteous dude. i'm in the process of figuring which class to play through to 60 on this first go. i want to be devoted to this first class i pick so i'm trying to make the right choice. i was thinking necro for solo ability or maybe some wild card class like a paladin/ sk.

okay i think i'm going to roll a rogue. can't be bothered with running to town seeking out spells when i'm already broke as it is. and i hear rogues are good for duo and raids so here it goes.
btw the community is pretty epic. everyone is nice and helpful as chit. plus, there's atleast 1k people on at all times it seems.Last edited by EpinephrineB; 01-19-2015 at 07:56 AM.

I started my halfling rogue around 11am and played for about 30 minutes. In that time there were about 15 people in starting zone, 15 in misty thicket, ran into 2 high levels on my way to west commonlands (which both buffed me in passing/ not at request - shield buff and speed buff), about 10 people in west commonlands, then a little over 100 in east commonlands (the trading mecca). The community is solid because p99 attracted almost entirely the good sports who enjoyed the game pre-PoP. You should give it a go.
And if anyone has any questions involving the download/ install of p99 then let me know. I battled for about 3 hours trying to figure out why it wasn't running probably and figured it out. A lot of factors that could lead to a faulty install.
Send me a tell if you guys get in game, name is "Yumadtho" lolzFeed the good wolf.

Download all 5, open the archive with 7zip or winrar, and just place where ever. No need to install it. You'll need to follow p99's install guide though for their server-specific requirements.|| MFC || C7 Crew || Trance & Techno Crew ||
