4 weeks at it now and Up 5 lbs to 204. Before I stopped 6 months ago I was at 210 and waist size was 35-36 in.
It's down to 33 atm. I keep getting comments from people, another today, that they had assumed I was 28-29. I don't care about age that much but nice to hear. I did take a look back at pictures I took a year ago and I do think I looked older then. The only thing I can think of that I changed has been that I cut alcohol down to almost zero consumption ...have just been about one night every 2 months compared to many beers a week before. I do look a bit fat in some pics but picked one I liked. Well, that's it for me..

Looks like your right on track, nice.
------------------------------
Went to my doctor and they didn't even have my MRI or EMG. They asked me if I brought my MRI and I told them no. I told them my regular doctors office told me everything was being sent to their office. Neither side takes responsibility, they just point fingers at each other. Pisses me off considering I would have gladly picked up a MRI copy. As far as the EMG report, they weren't even aware I had a EMG done...... WTF people. After 2 hours of driving around I got everything they need. My new appointment is tomorrow but I had to switch doctors to get in.
Made me miss my workout today, I'm pissed !!!!

IMS is amazing. Intra Muscular Stimulation. Injured and seized soft tissues lock in a contracted position causing stiffness and pain. A needle is inserted deep into the tissue, which causes the tissue to react strongly, then relax. It basically makes the brain reboot the tissue into its proper state - as you know neuropathy is a unique kind of pain, and the resetting causes the relaxation and takes stimulation off the nerves.
I have mine along my right trap, up my neck and all the way into my skull base/c1. Immediately after you need rest and over the next few days it gets better and better! I have gone three months now without the constant pain I have had for two years, just gearing up for another treatment because I can feel it starting up.
It can actually help keep the pain away over time, and reduce neuropathic symptoms (I get peripheral neuropathy). I would seriously look into it. Its a mechanical fix, and the controlled injury also stimulates natural healing. http://www.istop.org/ims.html
Thanks for the kudos, looking forward to seeing your progress and the others!I'm 11 weeks from Provincials, 19 from Nationals.Last edited by MilaGroski; 03-09-2015 at 06:30 PM.

Saw my neurosurgeon today and it's pretty bad. I'll be having surgery on 3-18-15 for a C6-C7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, plate, bank bone.
Normally you have other options..... shots, meds, pain management, therapy, but my nerve is so crushed that there is no other good solution. More than likely I do have permanent damage but the surgery gives me a chance to recover. The doctor made it clear though that the chance is very small. The primary object at this point is to relieve pain and free that nerve.
So I'm done........ I'm gonna lift till the day of my surgery then my recovery is about 8 weeks....... whatever that actually means.
I will be back lifting, no doubt....... I'm just sick of surgeries. For once I would like to lift and keep my gains, this is my 4th set back. OK, thats the last of my bitchin, lol.
countdown = 7 days of fishin left.

ID you are killing me with your pictures. My only chance is to out cut you and that's what I plan on doing.
Sweet azz picture Birdiefu. Good job Steffo, cuts comin along. Sexy picts Mila! Good luck JimmyJ I hope it all works out for you.
Down to 192.8 this morning. Cleaning up my diet just a tad now. Lowering carbs to under 60 a day. (no more cocoa chocolate balls ) Stopped coffee and replaced it with warm lemon water for the next 3 months. (Gives me better sleeps when low carbing) Time feels like its getting away. Any slip up will set me back days and I can't afford that.
I know it will be worth it whether I'm in the water or eating at a restaurant and can remove my shirt with confidence!!!

Have you had other ACDFs, or is this your first cervical surgery? If this is a single-level, is your neuro proficient in artificial disc replacement and has he ruled that out in your case? Studies here and an Europe (more widespread ADR use) support disc replacement as preserving cervical mobility, decreased recovery time, and more appropriate for younger, active people. That, and evidence (granted, not 100% in studies, but there are not many longitudinal ones on this) that the immobilization of ACDF puts further stress on the discs above and below and exacerbates degeneration there. While ADR rate is increasing in the US, unfortunately depending on where you are there may not be many neurosurgeons who do it.
Regardless, I'm sure it will help relieve the pressure and hopefully get rid of a ton of the pain and get some normality back! Good luckGym PRs:

Love this place. Haha. This week in Ov35 we get a person who deactivates their account because they want to focus on their studies to help others with their fitness goals. Not sure if they have ever picked up a weight and quite frankly they are not that fit. But maybe they will turn that around once the manuals arrive. Oh boy the manuals are here! Wait. Whats this? They are longer and more detailed then a Judy Blume novel? This can't be. I don't think I want or can do this. It's hard. So they set up a new account and go for a one day posting record of 47 posts outlining their dilemma. Of course the bb.com regulars come to her aid with their pompoms to cheer her on because what the world needs is another personal trainer with no motivation or actual self experience to teach the unsuspecting public.
In another thread we have a fellow who puts up a 5 year old avi and gets all kinds of praise and admiration.
Life doesn't really mean a lot so you might as well laugh at yourself and everything around you.
Mcbourne you look amazing and sexy.
Down to 189.7. Seeing some nice cuts in delts.
Have a good weekend all!!!!!!!!!
