Is it? What's required to understand the beginnings of our universe it vastly more expensive then understanding a particular aspect of the human body's function. So cost makes one difference. If cost is not directly related to scientific method, then methodology and direct access should be considered. What is required to look back in time across the universe is much more "difficult" then decoding and perfecting what is off in the human body (genetically).
