I ended up taking the microwave apart and having to clean out the blower and the vent with 409 because it had a smoky build-up all over it and it would stink whenever we cooked something. Even after that, it took several weeks for the smell to die down. But I'd bet yours has junk on the inside, too, if it was burning for awhile. Ours was a mess inside.
EDIT: If you have central air/heat, you can spray some Febreze on your air filter and just run the fan to circulate that through the ducts and the house. Might help a bit to deaden the burned smell.Last edited by taf1968; 02-07-2015 at 08:21 AM.

Speaking of music, I discovered a radio station out of Dallas that plays nothing but classic hip hop, all the great ones from my era. Greatest radio station I've ever heard, brings back a ton of memories. 94.5 in dallas...tune in on "simple radio" app or on thier website, just look up boom 94.5. I thinks it's misnamed on the simple radio app though, think it's called Ksoul. Anyway, you geezers who grew up in the 80s and 90s listening to hip hop, it's a must for you to look it up
