Cliffs:
- Been feeling pretty down for a while
- Chose not to deal with it but instead ignore it and distract himself
- Got involved with the wrong crowd and too much partying, realised his "friends" weren't his friends
- Wants to deal with his baggage properly now and not go down that path
- Going to come back awesome

Ya know why? Simple. Because most supp companies sponsor "athletes". Most supp companies only care about how big a BB is, how often they compete and how well they do. Etc. So like ya said, when that goes, often, so does the sponsorship.
Now Corporate sponsors "people" who also happen to be athletes. They want the other stuff too, like the athlete's values, character, integrity, etc. In short, Corporate sponsors athletes who are like them. Corporate sponsors athletes who theyd actually want to spend time with (like at a booth, in the CAGE, etc.).New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal

Sorry to hear this, but it was obvious something was going on with him and that he wasn't committed to bodybuilding, but was having too much fun and other stuff coming in between him and his goals.
He seems like a really nice, genuine guy and I hope this is a real epiphany for him and he manages to turn this boat around. You can do it Antoine.

This is a commendable thing that more companies should start doing.
Anyone can get big"" these days through a variety of means, but what is it that really separates one big guy from another?
Good luck to AV regardless if decides to drop all the nonsense and commit to the modern BB lifestyle or just progress as an athlete or just a person. Progress is more inspirational than perfection.IG: @West_Whey

At the Toronto Supershow last June, I went to a nearby Chipotles for lunch. Antoine was in line right in front of me. Huge man, but extremely nice. Talked to everyone and was very polite. He ended up sitting at the same table as me to eat. I have much respect for Antoine, and I wish the very best for him!

dem feels for Antoinne. I can kind of relate, went down a somewhat similar path of self destruction some years ago...the good thing is that you can pull yourself off that path and create a new one. It's definitely not easy, hope Antoinne can do it.
I will also reiterate what has already been said, respect to Universal for standing behind someone who is obviously struggling and facing a lot of personal adversity.THE LEVRONE 2016 MR. OLYMPIA COMEBACK

There's not a better way to get me to support a company, than to stand behind one of their athletes even through tough times.. VERY classy Universal.. I guess it makes it easier when the athlete is Antoine.. very easily liked guy, and a great personality for the sport, regardless of how well he places in shows in my opinion.

Wut separats one big guy from another? Their stories. Does a BB have a story worth tellin, one that will help inspire others? Teach others about sumthin important? At Corporate, it's about the people who are behind the athletes... Their character and their values. And AV has got both... Whether its good or most, most other companies only care about the bottom line and how an athlete can sell products and only that...
Truth is, despite all the Antoine gettin "skinny" jokes, isnt this wut makes him human? Question is, how will he bounce back? Take a look at the Animal athlete, Frank McGrath. He nearly died in a car accident sum years ago. Today, he seems bigger than ever and more inspirational than he was before the accident. Struggling? Adversity? This is the stuff that defines "character", wut Corporate actually values.
Can be a higher profile guy like Antoine. But theres a lower profile athlete goin to tough times with injuries and such. Josh Landry. But same deal. Universal is stickin by him too. Thats how the company rolls. They run things like family cuz, well, its owned by a family...New & Improved Universal Rep, For Universal
