Would you do it with or without weight? How are you looking to warm-up with it, sets and reps?

In other words, are you working to a heavy RM, like 1-3RM? If so, then yes, I think it would be a great way to warm-up the legs and hips. If you're looking to do sets across first, then no, not so great. You'll have to watch your middle to upper back and make sure it doesn't get too fatiqued.

Why not? To each his own.

I like my squat warm up to be short. I warm up just to be comfortable in the hole with the bar loaded.

I do a set of 5 sec pause squat in the hole with 60 kg to stretch the hips. Then, I do a couple of sets when heavier weight (80, 100, 120). In 3 or 4 sets, I'm good to go.

However, before doing full clean or full snatch, I do a couple of reps of OHS with just the bar.

Warm up routine is pretty personnal. Just do whatever make you feel better before lifting.
