This. If this man had been trying to commit some crime, OP would be the same person to say "why didn't the cops check on this guy after 911 calls!" if the cops actually left the guy alone. There's a fukkkng metal edge on that and at the end of the video the cop is laying on his back and you can see the shovel coming down again...if he would have hit the cop once he probably wouldn't be dead but he kept coming at him...like wtf do you expect when you attack someone like that who just happens to be armed

Actually its criminal trespass to go on peoples property and look in there car. And as explained by the officer you need a permit to solicit people for snow removal. So he was breaking two laws. Thirdly, in Utah you are required to identify yourself to a police officer when you are a suspect in an investigation (which he was and he refused to do). So you've got 3 arrestable offenses off the bat, before the guy went batsh!t crazy and started trying to kill him with a snow shovel.




Furthermore the guy has a history of burglary so its easy to see people called on him because they knew he was scoping out places to break into. He was asking to remove snow from places that didn't have any snow in their drive-way....

Thieves generally aren't homeowners nor do they case the neighborhoods they live in during the day. Of course the guy never should have attacked the cop, he clearly had mental problems. I've talked to cops many times, and I've never had an issue. If you talk to them with respect just like any other human being, you will be fine.
