If ISIS isn't Islamic, then the crusades weren't Christian.

no, they're believers.
they're still muslims/christians/jews/etc
but they're just sh!tty believers of their faith, since they cherrypick what aspects they want to follow.
I just find it funny how these cherrypicking religious people accuse the extremists of not even being a part of their religion, when the reality is that the extremists are more devout followers of said religion.*** Disregard neutrons and electrons, acquire protons crew ***

The Westboro Baptist Church killed people when?
And "radical" beliefs are widespread in the muslim world.

keep believing in the "extremists" bros. It's only the extreme element. Yeah, sure, extreme folks. Have you met Muslims? I have. They are very strict in their beliefs, and all of them are into male dominance (like the misc) and all of them frown on drinking and eating bacon. They are not chill like a lot of Christians are. I can drink and hang with Mormans. They don't drink, but they will hang with drinks and smile. Try finding Muslims that do this.

I believe they are Muslim but they don't represent the majority of Muslims. One would have to study the Islamic texts, which I have not to really be able to tell if ISIS can legitimately say they are following their religions teachings.

This is actually a point that Sam Harris has elaborated on in drawing distinctions between Islam and Christianity. Technically, Christianity does have certain safeguards within the Bible which allow great leniency in interpretation. That is, you can rationally defy anti-gay messages in the Bible (for example) and still be logically consistent with the Bible. Part of this is because of the fact that the Bible is inherently very contradictory. This might look bad, but in a way it is good because it is easier to show Christians that tolerance of homosexuality (again, just as one example) can be just as Christian as intolerance.
A problem is that Islam doesn't have those same safeguards in the Qur'an. There isn't a great amount of inconsistency or contradiction; it follows a very singular path. This is problematic when it talks about killing apostates or the treatment of women because it leaves little wiggle room. Fortunately, of course, there are millions of followers of Islam who are not enforcing such beliefs, but many would suggest that behavior is more inconsistent with Islam than Christians who are pro-gay marriage, for example. All of humanity's problems stem from man's inability to sit quietly in a room alone.

Murdering is not really a religious thing to do , and most ISIS ppl aren't even Imams or can even read the Quran in Arabic lol , most religious ppl especially Muslims do not cherry pick what to follow they are just sinners , that doesn't make them ****ty believers . They just make mistakes , get your facts straight dont just assume ****.

I dont think you understand what "extremism" in this context entails, the people you have described are not extremists, since ALL traditional Muslims avoid alcohol and bacon, and most come from patriarchal societies, they are traditional, conservative and practising Muslims, not extremists, unless RELATIVE to your lifestyle, but not politically speaking.
