I would be for that..
But I am
against student loan forgiveness
against universal health care
against almost everything else he is for
Issue is when you fund something like this the costs sky rocket
If most student loans were not federally guaranteed and financial aid wasn't given out college costs would be a fraction of what they are today
The schools would need to match the students ability to pay
If it was not so easy to get 100k to go to art school, that same school would cost 20k
So if CC is $3800 average..
Once you get 3/4 federal funding guaranteed expect the cost to double..
Student pay the share if any (the 1/4 left over)...
... Tax payers pay double
Maybe in the coming years that 1/4 ends up being the $3800 lol**Black out tape over all laptop/cell phone cameras so gov cant spy on me fapping crew**

no that's a terrible idea.
No one will go to a 4 year school as a freshman or sophomore then. And we'll all have to foot a bigger tax bill or some form of debt in order to fund this.
In FL, they have something called Bright Futures. It used to be: If you met the standards for it, you got almost all of 4 year uni paid for at their state schools. Then they decided to give out $$ from the Bright Futures fund to community college dopes. Now it's down to paying for only 50% of tuition. Thanks a fcking a lot liberals b/c I had most of college paid for until like 2 years ago when they did this.

It will probably be based off of income thresholds so yet again the middle class gets screwed. The poor will benefit from it but the people barely above the threshold will have to pay a lot more since schools can get away with charging more since the gubment will foot the bill. I would approve of this if it was trades and trades only.

As I read it ...
They cover 3/4
You need to cover 1/4 as a student
If you are poverty you would not need to cover the 1/4
If you were not poor you would of needed to cover the complete costs anyways
This way you get the 3/4 covered
If you were poor before you would of gone for free either way
This seems like a benefit for the middle class..
Wealthy people in general are not going to CC

Nothing in life is free.
Enjoy paying your taxes for people who don't even care about college and are only going because it's free. Brb people don't study because they don't care and have a useless degree at the end which has cost the taxpayer $20,000ea.
Australia has the best system (other than the 50% subsidy, should be 100% paid by students) in which the government LENDS you the money at the inflation rate and you start paying it back once you earn above the treshold (circa $55k).*misc lawyer crew*

Community college is already cheap and if you can't afford it you're probably going to struggle anyhow.
It would be better to address the issue of the tuition prices which have been driven in large part by student loans.
I'm not knocking student loans, I used them myself, but it certainly didn't take the schools long to figure out that they could raise tuition and keep collecting that $$. The two are linked and there has been zero ****s given to figure out how to make a better system.** Eternal Jimmies Crew **
