I get what you’re saying and do agree. I guess I buy it because of tradition since I’ve boughten a bottle every year since like 2009.

Another beer I don’t understand the hype is DFH 120 Minute.

I buy one every once and a while for nostalgia. IMO, it was the 1st beer of it's kind to have a large distribution foot print and high alcohol percentage. It had that wow factor.

Do you guys like Elysian Space Dust?
It's one of my go-to's at bars since it is everywhere around here.
Every now and then I'll pick up a 6er, fill up a growler, or a bomber to drink at home.

It’s everywhere here as well so I get it sometimes. My go to is whatever Costco has in big boxes for around $.80-1.25 per bottle. Usually a Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, Stone, Carolina Brewing etc box mix.

Headed to MA in a few hours for a couple weeks to see family. Will be testing some Trillium Beers with my cousin tomorrow night and will also be hitting up TreeHouse at least 2x.

By the way, any barrel aged porter fans here? I've got two bottles of Last Buffalo in the Park from Funky Buddha that I'd be willing got part with if anyone has some NE style IPA's or other interesting items to trade.

Their new botanical beers are really hit or miss for me and those 12oz small batch brews are hella expensive.

Freshly tapped homebrewed haze for christmas over here. Dry hopped with Mosaic & Vic Secret. Fermented with London Ale III. Lot's of juiciness going

Their new botanical beers are really hit or miss for me and those 12oz small batch brews are hella expensive.

Tweak here is around $13.50/bottle. Word is it's the Mephastopheles stout recipe plus coffee and a barrel. It's pretty darn tasty.

tried 120 minute ipa for the first time today... bottled a month ago... pretty tasty stuff and the abv is completely masked. 90 minute still remains as one of my top IPAs though.

i still have a bottle of 120 left, so i'll age that for a year or so before opening it up

You live in Chicago and you're drinking 90 minute? Chicago offers much better IPA's than DFH

You gotta checkout Hailstorm Brewing, Stratus and Cirrus, both are great NE Style IPA's. Todd the AxeMan by Surly is another must try

Haven't had any of the Yetis in a while. Not surprised it's declined, that brewery is in drastic need of innovation.
