A good beer doesn't need to be an IPA. Lots of craft brewers here, we have found some good selections.

Yeah maybe. Although the top rated IPA comes from Asheville/Brooklyn brewer mix with Stay Gold so NC does know how to make a good IPA. Cali or Oregon seem to produce the best(and most) IPA's from what I have read up on. The grocery stores here have an whole aisle dedicated to NC craft breweries which is cool. I'll look into the ones you posted.

You forgot Hop Heads Fat JuJu, Beej/Flesh sent me a bottle, many many moons ago, it was unreal deliciousness. Man, Tx sucks for good citrusy IPA's.

We've got Blue Moon though. Have you ever tried that? Most places will serve it to you with an orange slice in it! So citrus!

You can try a Buffalo Wild Wings if you're near one. They have like 20+ beers on tap. Great selection. And Blue Moon is usually the best one on tap.

What is up with Sierra Nevada's packaging dates?
Their stuff is always at least two months old.
I don't get it because we get Lagunitas, Ballast Point, Modern Times, and most other CA brewery beers here (Seattle) fresh within a week at least.
I would buy their stuff, but it is always months old.

Local brewery here. New but definitely doing it right. Got to sample some ales and porters today and they gave me a few of these to take home and try. Clean and juicy, soft hoppy finish. Definitely can taste some mango, maybe guava. Easy to drink, definitely picking up some other choices from them.

Scored me a couple of Avery Rumpkins. Yeah, it's the only pumpkin beer I can tolerate. Rest taste like over spiced a$$.

Used to be called Sam (Simcoe, Amarillo & Mosaic) until Sam Adams sued them over the name. Kelso is local brewer here in boise that invented it - he also invented Pallet Jack for Barley Browns.
... now if only they could brew up some hazy juice bombs over here

It was pretty damn good, very hoppy. About to have another. Picked up a couple Flying Dogs, Snake Dog IPA and the Fear a pumpkin beer. Both were outstanding.

On the topic of IPA's... two of my favorites in the southeast don't distribute but if you can get your hands on anything from Southern Grist (Nashville) or Civil Society (Jupiter, FL) they do a great job with NE style, hazy IPA's.

Going to swing through downtown Tampa this week to pick up some Cigar City Good Gourd... one of my favorite fall beers. Really looking forward to see what all the new breweries are putting out for fall/winter... it's stout and porter season!

Kind of kicking myself for not visiting Civil Society but we will be in WPB several times a year so we’re going for sure! May be during the holidays, going to ship some back if I can.

My first ever Founders Breakfast Stout. I missed out on it last year when Founders first entered the Seattle market. Last year, places sold out in hours, luckily this year, they ordered alot more and Founders sent more to this area. This is an amazing beer! So smooth for an 8.5% beer.

Had the Oaked Aged in Vanilla World Wide Stout and it's a delicious beer. This years Avery Rumpkin is also deliciousness. Both beers are well balanced and not one flavor is over powering.

More like OG's of the craft scene and responsible for what it has turned in to. I'm not saying all their beers are good but not over hyped.
