I would like to thank KoHuskie and iSatori for sending my a tub of their new mass gainer Hyper-Gro
I will be logging Hyper-Gro over the next 10-15 days and will be logging my workouts and thoughts on the effects of Hyper-Gro. I will be Looking for any increase in strength, muscle mass, weight, endurance, stamina, energy, and recovery.
This will actually be the first Mass Gainer I have ever used.
About Me -- I'm 21 years old, I've been lifting for about 5 years, and I'm playing D3 Basketball at the collegiate level which is the reason for most of my training as well as motivation to keep pursuing my goals.
I will be lifting 3-4 days a week as well as cardio (mostly running/jogging) 2-3 days a week as well. I won't be tracking to much of my BBall practices or drills but I am interested to see if I notice a difference in my game while using Hyper-Gro.
My lifting routine is currently (Bi/Back, Chest/Tri, Shoulder/Lats, Legs) and I like to do at least 1 ab routine per lift day.
Here is some information from iSatori about Hyper-Gro - http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/is...hyper-gro.html
Thanks for joining, feel free to sub and or post with support, advice, questions, or anything lol

Initial Thoughts
Hyper-Gro tastes fairly good, which is a plus!
Protein sources - 5-Phase Instantized Protein Blend (Beef Protein Isolate, Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Micellar Casein, Egg Albumin). This is my first Beef Protein, nice to see it is an isolate, the beef protein is probably the the reason for the slightly different taste.
Carb sources - Clean Muscle-Infusing Carbohydrate Complex (Highly Branched Starch [Amylopectin], Cluster Dextrin, Potato Starch). Looks good to me
Hyper-Gro also includes
Creatine Monohydrate 2,500mg *
Bio-Gro™ Bio-Active Peptides 1,500mg *
Extracted from Mico-Concentrated Colostrum, Yielding: Proline Rich Peptides, Growth Factors, Immunoglobulins, Lactoferrin, Fibroblast-GF
Betaine Anhydrous 1,250mg *
Creatine HCL 500mg
I would rather have no creatine as I supplement bulk mono anyways. 1.25g of Betanine is nice! The other big addition is the Bio-Gro™ Bio-Active Peptides!
My only issues so far are the amino acid profile shows added glycine and alanine. And is the added creatine also taken into account...

Just curious as to why you see those as negatives?
Love the detail in here! The Beast Journey to Elite

Also love the details! I guess the good thing about the extra aminos is that they don't hurt if they're in excess. So even if you don't need them necessarily it's not going to negatively impact your body.

Day 4
Lower Body
Squats (135x10, 175x5, 225x5)
Deadlifts (135x10, 225x5, 315x3)
Leg Curl (150x12, 150x10, 150x8)
Leg Ext (200x10, 200x8, 200x7)
Calve Raise (90x15, 110x12, 110x12)
Really liking Hyer-Gro so far. I've been using 1 HEAPING (probably 1.25 scoops) with 8-10oz of whole milk. Tastes great and really helping me get those extra quality calories.
The shake is quite filling though, but it passes quickly. Meaning I feel full for a good hour or so then ready to eat again, which is a good thing when trying to bulk!!!
Weighed myself today twice, average - 173.7 (Will be using this as my starting weight)

Loving Hyper-Gro with whole milk, super creamy and the extra calories make it even better
I've noticed that I don't get super hungry later in the day if I take my shake in the morning, which is a good thing!
