i asked because 15 seems overkill vs. the usual 10g that is recommended for fasted workouts or whatever - and the usual spiel that is given that if you're eating enough protein, bcaas arent necessary
but you seem to have a supp stash like bb.com warehouse so i guess your simple answer makes sense haha100% 中國人

I do not feel it is NECESSARY, but if you are hitting multiple body parts in a given session you need to look at what is the optimal dose for recovery, not just for the entire session, but to ensure each muscle hit gets sufficient amino acids to facilitate recovery. I just know that if my intra workout nutrition is subpar, I will get very very sore, so I do what allows me to recover faster so i can hit each body part more frequently.

Well with adding days in 4-5 maybe some type of modified PHAT or something I will certainly be far more sore and if that will help I will certainly try it just once I am out of wraath will likely pickup bulk EAA see how it goes.
Right now been dosing 2 scoops wraath which is 14g
When I was unloading trucks I had seen some benefits with Purple Psyko at the time since I would hit the weights go to work unload trucks all evening and repeat the next day, so anything that might help I am more than willing to try out.-- Microwaves everyday crew --

I don't like to look at anything as static and am all about experimenting to find out what works best for your body and training style. I feel one must keep an open mind and be willing to try new things to improve performance. PHAT is a great system and you will likely do very good with it. I know many people use it and love it, myself included. If you feel no improved recovery from added aminos, go back to normal, however i do feel you will notice improved recovery from added carbs from a high molecular weight carb like branched cyclic dextrins when you training sessions increase in intensity.
Prime nutrition has a product called Intra-MD, formulated by John Meadows ( a true innovator along with Dr. Scott Stevenson in the world of intra workout nutrition) that might be worth looking into. BB.com sells it.
Mountain Dog training is another style of training you may want to look into and Dr. Stevenson and John Meadows have a book / training program coming out very soon. Scott has his own e-book / training program called Fortitude Training.Featured in the "We 'Mirin" 15 Ripped Physiques Edition

Lol this.
With an adequate protein intake, muscle soreness will simply decrease throughout a resistance training program since the body is adapting to the exercises. There's really no evidence out there showing BCAA's effectiveness in improving recovery if you're hitting 1.5-2g/kg/day of protein. This amount is enough to keep the body in a positive energy balance (protein synthesis > protein degradation).
Studies have even looked at intakes higher than 2g/kg/day and there's really no extra benefit in regards to body composition or strength changes. Even though Leucine is the primary driver of protein synthesis, supplementing with BCAA's with an adequate protein intake is really going to do nothing in the grand scheme of things.VELOCITY NUTRITION

There is research that goes beyond simply protein synthesis to show the benefit of a recovery or intra workout supplement
Before responding, read these three articles written by Dr. Scott Stevenson as my philosophy stems from research that Scott sums up: http://www.elitefts.com/education/tr...tation-part-1/

I use the bcaa just for taste I get them free or in the case of the SBK Iso-amino got them very cheap on intro sale.
So my simple answer sums it up nicely ;p
To me they are no different than drinking a sports drink which I know a LOT of people who consume them and those are far more expensive taste not very good and have 0 benefit since they just sitting around doing nothing.
As to the EAA's seems to be some benefit intra and in the case of the Purple Psyko included protein so a mixture and at the time on a heavy cut with large workload 6-8 hours unloading trucks and 1-2 hours working out beyond work it did seem to have some benefits.-- Microwaves everyday crew --

You may look at it differently... the things is, often times you are going to have conflicting research based on study design and subjects involved, so what you are left with is real world results. This is where I feel Scott and John have taken things further than what science tell us. Yes, science is great, but often times things work that are not explained by the current research, then years later, science backs up what has been seen to be effective in bodybuilding for years.
I have my own experience as well as my own clients and the experiences of thousands of others who have gone from no intra workout supplement to using one and have seen a benefit in recovery. Often times I won't even tell someone I am working with what the recovery supplement will do and ask them about how they feel, how their recovery is, and document the changes in performance and physique just from adding a recovery supplement. Before doing this I ask permission to give them a drink that I will later explain to them and assure them it does not contain anything known or speculated to be harmful. After we look at the results from just this one change, I explain to them what the ingredients are and why it works.

Scott also has several interviews and has been on several radio podcasts, as has John, discussing intra workout nutrition...Featured in the "We 'Mirin" 15 Ripped Physiques Edition

i dont have money to burn so i'm very selective with my expenditures - so neogenix should definitely take it as a compliment that i bought 4 additional bottles without having gone through even 1 yet at the time
after having gone through 1 bottle so far, i really want to give my final review but i'm waiting to go through my 2nd one and then give it my review
i'm telling you guys, it's gonna be real in depth (at least imo haha) as i'm already picturing in my mind how i want the layout to beLast edited by dailob; 02-27-2015 at 12:57 PM.
