I am no stranger to SAN Titanium Whey and I have tried and reviewed the other three flavors and this is the link
to that review if anyone is interested in the on going review that I did with Van Butterscotch, Choc Graham Cracker,
and Rocky Road. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...+titanium+whey
The Tropical Berry was SAN newest flavor that came out after my purchase of the other three and SAN reps Poison, AllienNinja, and
SAN were kind enough to send me 2, 1lb sample containers to try out, review, and put to the test in the kitchen and see what I
could put together using this somewhat unique flavor. Big thanks to the reps for sending me these samples and I did enjoy making
things in the kitchen with it but I will review the protein first and then FOOD PORN!!!
Ingredient Profile- 9/10- Pretty much the same as the first 3 flavors that I reviewed and this is a blend of two whey's, whey concentrate
and whey isolate are the two that make up the profile and a couple of other ingredients which I am sure were
added to make this flavor that weren't in the other flavors. One comment about the whey concentrate in this
formula, it is definitely a high quality because there are no digestive enzymes in the ingredient profile and I
usually don't do to well with concentrates unless enzymes are included but I had no stomach issues at all when
ever I consumed a shake using this flavor and ALL the Titanium Whey flavors so this protein should work well
for people who are lactose intolerant.
Mixability- 9/10 - I always mixed it in a shaker cup with water and it always blended well except for a bit of foam which was no big
deal and the little berry pieces seemed to float on top and went down pretty smooth as you drink the shake.
I always mix my whey protein with a unflavored Micellar Casein and it mixed quite well that way also.
Taste- 8.5/10 - This was a tough one at first and it took a few tries to nail down the flavor and when you open the container
you are hit with a berry aroma but not a pure strawberry it definitely had another berry flavor mixed in and I
thought it had a raspberry flavor in there.
The little pic on the container shows berries along with pineapple and mango so that's where I guess the Tropical
comes from in the flavor name even though I didn't taste any pineapple or mango in this protein. I actually thought
it had a little vanilla under tone in the flavor and if I had to the describe the flavor using a candy as the description
I would say it reminded me of strawberry creme lifesavers. I thought the flavor was unique and enjoyable and a nice
change from the traditional chemical taste strawberries that are usually what you get from a lot of strawberry proteins
out there even though I have read some reviews that some of the strawberries that have come out recently have been
greatly improved on the flavor.
Price- 9/10- You can find this flavor and any of the other Titanium flavors anywhere from 39.99 to 54.99 and when you open a container
it is always filled to top with protein so I would say when you can get a good deal on this whey STOCK UP especially during
holiday times when you can find it for the lower price that I mentioned.
Overall - 9/10- I gotta say SAN did a nice job on creating yet another unique flavor in their Titanium Whey line and I really must applaud
them for not coming out with the same old Van and Choc flavor that most companies go with just to be safe which I know
Van and Choc are the most popular flavors but there are tons of options for Van and Choc so I think Titanium Whey flavors
would be perfect for someone who has the basic flavors on hand and would like some unique flavors to alternate for a change
of pace in flavor. This is a definite winner if someone is on the market for a strawberry flavor with just a twist in the flavor.
1- Tropical Berry - Mixes well with plain vanillas, and cup cake vanillas but not with caramel van and it taste good mixed with
banana protein
2- Van Butterscotch - Mixes well with plain, cupcake, and caramel vanillas.
3- Choc Graham Cracker- Mixes well with plain, cupcake, and it is amazing with Choc protein.
4- Rocky Road - Mixes well with Choc protein of course, and taste good with banana and strawberry protein.
I have tried all these combos that's why I'm mentioning it so others will know in advance what they might want to combine these flavors with.
Once again I would like to thank Poison, and AllienNinja for extending to me the opportunity of trying out a few of SAN products to review and
become familiar with some of the product line. I have already recommended the BCAA Pro Reloaded to a number of people outside of this forum
and I will continue to recommend the products that I try from SAN that I feel work for me and will benefit others who might be interested in that
type of supplement.
I will be posting the few delicious very berry protein treats that I made in the Superhuma67 kitchen using Tropical Berry and if anyone has this
flavor of Titanium Whey hopefully they will find a recipe they like in this thread and give it a try.

This is the recipe to make this Tropical Berry Coconut Cake.
Ingredients- 1 - 1 cup of Oat Powder (Muscle Feast Brand) or oat flour or ground oats will also work
2- 2 70cc scoops of Titanium Whey Tropical Berry
3- 1 tsp of baking powder
4- 5 heaping tbs of shredded unsweetened coconut
5- 1 cup of frozen mixed berries
6- 4 oz of unsweetened coconut milk
7- 1 tbs of liquid strawberry extract
8- 4 tbs of nonfat plain yogurt
9- 4 egg whites
Mix all the dry ingredients first then add the wet ones and mix thoroughly and then pour into a 8x6 pan that has been lightly
coated with nonstick spray. Place in a preheated oven for about 25 min or until the testing toothpick comes out dry.
Let the cake completely cool then spread a light coating of spreadable fruit (I used a brand called St. Dalfour which is fantastic
and it was a Four fruit spread) then garnish the cake with a little more shredded coconut and place into the frig for the cake
to firm up on the inside and the fruit spread will harden a little which will form a glaze on the cake. This is an incredibly easy
and DELICIOUS cake so hopefully if someone has this flavor of protein they will give this recipe a try.

I enjoyed all the flavors but the van butterscotch was very versatile and I enjoyed creating a few really good treats in the
kitchen with that flavor and this is the link to that review thread just in case you want some ideas on things to make with the
van butterscotch.
