Initial reaction here was dang smells like peanut butter cookies!!

Mixed up reminds me of marshmallow fluff with peanut butter, not my favorite out of the trutein flavors I have had - but I am not mad at this flavor at all very good! Unique and flavorful also prob not going to shine most in the 12 ounces of water ( I ran out of Almond/Cashew milk last night forgot to get more! ) - Will have to mix this with grits or something tomorrow.

Appreciate your thoughts Rob. I agree with your assessment, its definitely more marshmallow than PB. I actually prefer it to our CPB, b/c of its more mild flavor.

Not my #1 (the PBM) but it's great for a change of pace and I am a peanut butter fiend; it makes good protein cookies and cakes though.

#1 is Pumpkin Pie without a doubt, #2 Cinnabun (the first flavor I had from them), and #3 is a toss up between Lemon Meringue or Orange Creamsicle. Love every flavor though, rotate to keep it interesting.

Fully with you on Pumpkin Pie and I rate Lemon Meringue as one of my all time favorite / best and most well done flavored proteins.


I was bit disappointed with Cinnabun finding it to be far to mild, and not as rich as I had anticipated after Lemon Meringue Pie and Pumpkin ( both of these I find to be the best and among the best flavored ).

Orange Creamsicle I consider in my runner up's and wish I had picked a tub of that up it's very good!


My initial thoughts on cinnabun

Cinnabun: The powder on this smelled good primarily of cinnamon and perhaps dough? hard to place smells of a cinnamon bun in whole so that was a good start! Mixed this in 12 ounces of heated/warm unsweetened cashew milk.

My first impression was it tasted like a sweet cinnamon bun perhaps a bit biased here as I thought or was expecting perhaps from my experience of the greatness that is Lemon Meringue Pie that this would be as bold/rich so on that I was a bit disappointed as it was far more mild.




As to what I am looking for in Cinnamon Roll

To reflect on Cinnamon Bun/Roll flavored protein the best most well done is Xtreme Formulations Cinnamon Roll, and I consider this to be the bar to rise to and their are a lot of great/good cinnamon bun/roll proteins trutein's is pretty decent just not as rich/bold as I was looking for after having tried the LMP/Pumpkin.

I'll agree with cinnabun, the pumpkin pie was awesome,not so much for everyday day use imo. Never had the other two.

Rob, I know it's safe to assume that you are a fan of P28 and all of what they offer. Thinking about picking up some of the bagels, but wanted your personal opinion of them if possible. How is the texture and flavor of them?

Tastes like a maybe Honey Wheat ( has a slight sweetness ) with a chewy/soft texture.

Toasts up very nicely, I love the bagels perhaps most and find them to be well worth buying. Have used them for MANY things!



Perhaps my favorite thing I make using the bagel among many many tasty creations!

I haven't opened it yet. Just had the Snickerdoodle 15 mins ago. Liked it. A little bit too sweet for my liking... but amazing. Cant really place the flavor. I will have the Animal in the evening. Trutein tomorrow afternoon. Will post. I am sure i'll like it!

Since i got store credit for it. I will taking Robb's word and getting the Lemon Pie as well!

Should try the snickerdoodle in heated/warm unsweetened almond or cashew milk - I tend to use 2 scoops in 20-24 ounces of unsweetened almond/cashew milk for snickerdoodle also tastes real good mixed in with cooked rolled oats.

Pumpkin Pie should also be on the possibilities tastes like pumpkin pie with hints of both nutmeg/cinnamon along with a whipped cream "creamy" sweetness, nice thick consistency pretty solid option as well. The Lemon Meringue pie is bold/sweet just like real lemon meringue so those 2 pretty much my favorites atm.

The SAN Tropical berry you got my favorite thing to do with it is to mix it with Fa-ge 2% Strained Yogurt just super tasty brings out a berries & cream taste with nice thick creamy texture. Whole lot of WIN!



^ Tropical berry in 0% Fa-ge, 2% not as available all the time but I pick it up whenever I see it has a much richer taste.

I agree, the only protein flavor I've ever enjoyed putting into my oats, put a little bit of cream cheese in there to bring out more of the cake flavor.

Though it was ok in water and has decent taste/texture tasting as you described certainly among the better strawberry proteins, as I mentioned in post previous over my initial thoughts on it.

In cashew milk however it was MUCH better, played up the strawberry shortcake flavors better with the cream in the mix. I liked it in the cashew milk best so far added a lot to it.
