    Low Bar Squat Form Check

    this is my second consecutive week low bar squatting. what can you tell me good and bad about my squat? thanks

    I think it looks pretty strong, but you have a tendency to push the bar forward when you start coming up. Watch the end of the bar and see how it moves forward slightly as you drive up. This is why your bar speed slows halfway up. Personally, I like thinking about driving the hips up and slightly back while keeping my chest up. Ideally you want the bar path to be completely straight vertically, but since you're coming forward, thinking about driving 'back' slightly could fix it right up.

    Try to keep filming your sessions. As you progress in weight, you'll see what goes wrong, and it'll be easier to address them.

    thanks for the advice! i was scared to try low bar at first because it killed my wrist, now i am just sucking it up

    Try a thumbless grip and keep your elbows up. You want your wrists to be straight. That should take the pressure off your wrists.
