I find that in the mornings it's the least packed. I always go on a morning on weekends, hardly anyone there for a while.

Depends on your gym, really. Most of the people who go to my gym (about 70%) are over 65, so naturally they're there in the mornings. At my gym, peak hours are usually 9 AM-10 AM weekdays, then the after school young people 3 PM - 5 PM. I'm definitely a morning exerciser so I'm used to navigating a crowded gym...but it is nice to go in the afternoon when it is completely dead and have the whole place to myself.

Yeah, typically gyms are filled with students and the working class, and so typically the mornings would be the best time to go. Worst time to go, from the many gyms I've seen, is around 4-6pm.

Mornings and late afternoons are bad, especially anytime between 5-8 PM since most people get off work and go to the gym. I have gotten to the point where if I don't go by at least 4 PM, then I just wait until 8:30/9 PM

It's really going to depend on the culture of your city. Is it a 24 hour city? Is it a college town? A largely blue collar 7am-3pm town, or a professional 9-5 town. Or a place full of retirees. Even different parts of town will have different demographics.

The gym i go to tends to be crowded 7AM-10PM then 4pm-7pm. But im sure everyone's gym is different.

Anything after 5pm don't even bother
