Yeah, I know what you mean.
Imagine if Misc took this kind of attitude with Wetbreasts instead of trying to inspire him to lift and chit. We may have never been able to witness such an epic change. Hell, I'm fat and still a work-in-progress myself. I was lifting for eight months and lost a considerable amount of weight before I had to stop due to an injury and then again due to medical issues unrelated to said injury or lifting. (Medications would negatively affect my workout) Next month I'm getting back up on that horse.

Women, especially older ones, have a completely different way of thinking and doing things. They're going to share this crap with all their friends because they want the support and the circlejerking, but from what I've seen she's signed up and is going to at least give it a shot. That's better than what most people do. I just feel like we should be supportive of anyone trying to become healthy and stop being fat fukks instead of making fun of them. It'll turn then away from the gym.

Real success in the gym, whether you're trying to lose fat or put on muscle, comes from an internal desire to succeed and an intense focus. For most "resolutioners" their only motivation is a date on the calendar, and that's just not enough for any kind of sustained success. Now, will some people who show up in the gym on Jan 1 be successful? Of course. But not many. The vast majority made a resolution because it's the thing to do, it's the thing their friends are doing; they work out in January because it's expected of them, not because they really want it. And in the meantime, they exhibit a great deal of ignorance and poor gym etiquette, making things much more difficult for the truly dedicated.
Fat, but working on it.
Again.
"Do you think the men who built all this had it easy?!" "Hard men! Doing hard sh*t!" "And that gives me a hard on! But, uh, not in a gay way or anything."

The amount of excuses used by people this time of year is so annoying.
Hate going to the Gym and have newbies trying to talk to me about how they havn't worked out for a while due to some reason or another and how they are looking forward to looking like they did at 18/19/20. I don't mind newbies asking for help esp in the first month etc but it when they start acting like they are the boss.
Oh well here comes another 2nd of January. (I'm hoping most are holding off till after the weekend.
EDIT: Repped OP.
LOL at people after doing their first workout doing this in the mirror.

I started out as a resolution lifter back in 2012 and actually stuck with it. Despite several road blocks (school, social life, etc.) that got me off of lifting for weeks to months at a time, I always incorporated it back into my life.
Keep an open mind and try to aid the resolution lifters rather than ridiculing them brahs. We all start somewhere, and using the new year as a form of extrinsic motivation may be strong enough to push them to become intrinsically motivated to keep lifting.

The 2nd is on Friday so well around me a lot of people get the time off work, are still off school then it's the weekend which is why Mid day gets really busy.
Also around me is a lot of college students who tend to do fit their "Workout" around their studies. Hence why I said for me."Accept your fate. Or be destroyed by spectors of the past never to return"
