If people would secure their computers and quit clicking/installing anything and everything they see this crap would not happen.

These guys can do this because there are so many clueless people out there that have computers that are functioning as bots for these script kiddie groups they get their hands on millions of computers to direct these attacks. If people would get a damn clue, install security software, turn off their computers when not in use these guys wouldn't be able to do anything.

DDOS is far different from a hack and I get sick of the media comparing the two like they're even in the same league. A monkey with a keyboard can do a DDOS attack, actually breaching security takes a whole other level of skill.
