New to lifting, happy to be here guys. Doubt I'll be posting too much but want to have some stuff written down for the sake of personal accountability, and hopefully to get some support.

New to lifting. Been doing SL 5x5 for a while, weight is finally starting to get heavy after a while (started at 50% of my 5RM). My lifts are pretty pathetic and while I wouldn't say skinny fat (I've got average muscle for someone my age/size), I'm looking pretty rough right now. I'm completely committed to lfiting and am confident I won't be skipping days or anything like that, but my nutrition has been lacking for sure, mainly due to lack of direction.

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place as after a bulk I'd have way too much fat to cut, and after a cut I'd look really small, and then there's the whole bulking up in summer aspect to it as well. Confusing, but I've decided to bite the bullet and cut for a while. Figure I'll be better in the long run getting lean before adding lots of size (which I'm definitely excited for, don't get me wrong).

I figure this'll take me at least 10 weeks to get really shredded (and tiny...). Hopefully since I'm new I can continue adding strength for a while.
